Well so here i am expanding my music taste more
This album is actually the first album i listen in my main language, Spanish. Yet despite not tending to enjoy music in Spanish for various reasons this album surprised me quite a lot, i didn't expect to enjoy it as much as i did
Shakira's pop songs from the 00s have always been bangers, but this album got its whole sound: mixing rock and pop which ends up in a really good outcome specially when you join it with Shakira's crazy ... read more
Okay this album was....good but very mixed and at times almost bad
I must praise its uniqueness, this is one of the most unique projects i have ever heard. The production is so jarring and honestly i can't recall ever listening anything similar with those sounds and vocals. I don't think i can even pin point it to any genre
M.I.A. has such a unique vocal style too although at times it's kinda annoying and extra loud
As for the songs this album was lacking standouts for the ... read more
Decided to check out this album cause it had been a while since i last listened to a Neo-Soul album.
And honestly i was blown away. This album got some REAL HEAT
The production is so beautiful and chill and if you pair it up with Lianne's vocals you can only get greatness
The album had some peak standouts like "Bittersweet" and "Paper thin"
There were no misses in the rest of the tracklist although it felt longer than it should have, probably due to the more slow and ... read more
Third album i listen from FKA twigs
This one had a more laid back and mellow vibe, in which FKA used some almost opera-like vocals
It's a good listen and enjoyable through the entire runtime. The first half was better with songs like Preface, Hours, Two Weeks and Lights On being standsouts
However the 2nd half was more lackluster without any song being noteworthy for me. This style of FKA twigs isn't exactly my cup of tea i would say
More metal let's gooooo
This album was really solid, with no misses throughout the tracklist.
The instrumentals were energic and although i wasn't that big of a fan of the vocals at times they were good most of the times
The song "Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)" was a real standout and easily the best on the album. Although apart from that there weren't many other highs which specially caught my attention.
It's actually so maddening that some of the best songs on ... read more
Honestly i need to start listening to Metal much more often, cause this album was straight HEAT
Not only did it had no misses, it also had some very amazing highs, such as "Toxicity", "Aerials", "ATWA" or of course "Chop suey!"
The guitar riffs were energic, the harsh vocals were so fire and those bridges with the amazing and smooth vocals from the main singer were so freaking awesome.
Even the outro track was a standout with such unique vibes.
If i ... read more
My second album from LDR, i will say that after getting more used to her style i have enjoyed this album more than i did "NFR!"
Her vocals were really good in this album, same with the and it had some really fire cuts specially during the first half. The song run from "Cruel World" to "West coast" is amazing and honestly in a way carries the album
Still the second half of the album was pretty good and it had some fire cuts here and there, specially "Pretty ... read more
Another metal album listen for me! Cause honestly it had been a while
And wow, i have been mind blown. This album is crazy good, there really isn't any misses on this album, even the instrumental song was very unique and interesting
The band had some crazy infectuous energy throughout this LP, specially those energetic vocals and those banger guitar riffs.
There were some 3 songs that were some real heat bangers (Papercut, In the end and A place for my Head)
I will say that some songs ... read more
And here we have yet another great Pusha T album, although this one the weakest out of all the ones i have listened
Pusha as always killed it with the rapping, however there were some kinda mediocre songs such as "Got em Covered" and "Fifa"
However there were a pair of nice highs which were really good: ("MFTR" and "MPA")
All the other songs on the album were pretty good but not any other outstanding songs
This album was good, but deserving almost 5 years of wait????
HECK NO
I will say that there weren't any bad songs except maybe "OPM Babi". Even then, the album was scattered with mid songs that kinda made this album drag on for tooo long
Carti was unique as it is to be expected with it, but at the same time too formulaic and in many istances repeating the same kind of songs over and over. Those 808s and deep voice can only get you so far.
There weren't any perfect-tier ... read more
I decided to check out this album cause people said it was a lot like old Lady Gaga and i thought...why not
This album is pretty good, it's got that hard-hitting innovative electro-pop sound that Lady Gaga is known for from her old stuff
The album started out really good with Disease which is easily the best song. Then it got kinda more mixed but without any song i would consider a miss. Towards the end it picked up again, i liked "Don't call tonight" and "Shadow of a ... read more
A very fun and unique project
It's that perfect mix of experimentation without risking replayability. These hard-hitting industrial beats are so fire and honestly it was difficult to listen to this without banging your head. The hidden features enchanced the songs a lot, specially K-Dot in "Yeah right" and Ty Dolla Sign in "Rain come down"
Vince staples rapping was great and he suited the songs perfectly with the exception of "Alysha interlude" the only ... read more
An incredibly good album with top tier rapping and production.
Freddie Gibbs has a very unique and good delivery, with some crazy good flows, you mix it with Madlib's crazy production skills and you get what might be one of the best hip-hop albums of the late 2010s
This album has no misses or subpar songs except "Freestyle shit", "Situations" and "Soul Right" which were kinda boring but not super bad
There are some real gems in here, like ... read more
Much better than i expected, this is honestly pretty close to Isolation
This album has such a cool late-night vibe thanks to the moody production and Kali Uchis' great vocals.
It has some pretty nice cuts, i really liked "I wish you roses", "Moonlight" and "Deserve me"
I will say there was a stretch of songs from "Fantasy" to "Hasta cuando" which were noticeably lacking compared to other parts of the album.
Was surprised by how incredibly solid this album is!
Britney delivers a fun listen full of bangers and with great production. It is specifically this production what caught my attention the most, it's pretty innovative for the era and you can see the influence it was creating for later on pop artists of the 2010s
While the vocals aren't the craziest thing they aren't a problem since Britney's energy is what actually makes the album great
The intro "Gimme more" is ... read more
EUSEXUA surprised me so much that i decided to check out this album too
While it wasn't as entretaing and cool as Eusexua, Celophane was a good listen too on its own right. It's pretty unique and innovative, but i found the more mellow and slow-paced mood of this album to not be as captivating as the misterious but fun Eusexua
Apart from that i wouldn't say there were any bad or noticeably subpar songs, but also no highs, except the intro "Thousand eyes"
Honestly an incredibly gassed up album. This was good but boring and unimpressive at moments.
While it is true that it had a very high and amazing song "Eleanor Rigby", the rest were good but nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm honestly completely baffled at how this could deserve a 89 score...we aren't hearing the same thing it seems.
Also crazy how "Yellow submarine" is the worst rated song! I used to fucking love that song as a kid, even today i really dig it
Honestly difficult to find many flaws in this, this is the perfect background album to just play and enjoy the chill moody instrumentation
Really liked those more upbeat songs like "So what", "Freddie Freeloader" and "All blues". The other more slow-tempo ones while good i wasn't the biggest fan of them
I will say that the album felt so long despite only being 45 minutes long, probably the songs being +9 minutes long has smth to do AHAHAHHA
Also i don't ... read more
Just like the title says you better not play this in front of the huzz!
Now jokes aside this album was another great listen from JPEG as well as from Danny Brown
The production is fun and experimental, and JPEG rapping as always was pretty fun and hype. I must say that Danny Brown at times was the worst part in multiple songs, specially at the beginning, but as the album went on i started liking his voice more and more.
While i don't think this is JPEG's best (simply cause OFFLINE! ... read more
