its a nice record. 'Streets of your town' was on my rotation for a lot of time and i never thought that this band had anything more to offer.
It reminded me of U2 on 'quiet heart' but people is talking much about the smiths and i see the similarities too. Its only missing on the voice and crazy catchy guitar licks and choruses and experimentation, well, it isn't much of similar

Thanks for giving me the first album of Stevie wonder on the list cyber gods. I wanna listen in order. This guy is a genius of songwriting. First album i listen from him front to back. Pretty much what i was expecting, coming from someone who had high expectations lol.
My guy did all instrumentations and singing for some songs and that is an impressive feat to produce all of it. The year is 1972 too. Amazin

Expected a full ambient album from brian eno but it was rocky sounding with pitadas of ambient

I've heard Maggot Brain and that is miles different from this. Maggot is not really that fun, more introspective meditative. This is pure funkiness. I would ask just that the songs wouldn't be that long cause i wanted to put them on a playlist :) thats a minor thing. The length of the songs is the only complain.

this and the backrooms movie fit so well together.

Waiting until i get the album on the 1001 albums run.
Couldn't Love You More is fantastic, smooth, does little flows that i wasnt expecting at all, making my mouth open. A gentle sounding instruments. Really tender. Underrated?

I've heard other albums from blur that didn't really click. THais one isn't that obnoxious to me. It really feels and sounds good, with a taste of weirdness that the pop rock scene doesnt have often and this well known.

its big ainnit. thats mostly what drags me out of it and i really didn't appreciate some parts of it. Too many intros to something that'll only take place like minutes after.
Of course it's a hell of a record history-wise and is grandiose just for itself.
Um i don't like the mix too. things are veryy far away, at least the things that i'd like to hear in front of me, like vocals and guitars.
