I wish more was added then remixes or stuff we have already heard, but I'm glad Please Do Not Lean was added to the record in some form.
This is a nice bonus EP. While most of these tracks aren't as great as the tracks on the main record, this is still a fun extension of it. Something I also noticed with this EP is that while it is still fast paced, it's not nearly as fast paced as the record it is an extension of. Nothing is wrong with that, but I thought it was interesting to note.
Best Track: Guess What Bitch, We Back Hoe!
Weakest Track:
No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! ... read more
So, for some context, I have never listened to either artist prior to this review. On with the show!
Wow, this record moves at a breakneck pace, and it is amazing for that and many other reasons. The innovative production alongside Danny and Peggy’s sporadic and scatterbrained delivery adds so much to the near perfect chaos that is SCARING THE HOES. Every track has it’s own place in the record and it’s so consistent in quality throughout. I am just obsessed with the punchy ... read more
This was my introduction to Tears For Fears and it certainly made an impression. This album was fantastic. Curt’s voice is so addicting alongside the incredible synth and guitar heavy production that holds up so well even today. This is an essential project to hear if you're even slightly interested in new wave. Sure, it has it's weak points, but this album's hits more than make up for them.

I'm having a tough time articulating my feelings on this album, but here we go. I think beerbongs & bentleys is a pop/rap record of highs and lows. This record for the most part fixed the major issues that Stoney had. It is much more consistent with much more competent production and mixing. You get the feeling that this is an album rather than a playlist. This record is such a fun but varied listen with some bops and some more intimate tracks. It’s just plainly well made. My main ... read more
This album slots nicely into Kali's discography. It's a great listen with outstanding vocals and an 80s style production that just hooks you. Kali here is very open and honest, yet she draws her boundaries. It seems like a tug of war with the power dynamics in her relationships, and her standing her own ground. This record isn't fickle with it's message, it's very blunt. Though, I think that works in it's favor. Also, the variety between more bouncy tracks versus ... read more
Novacane is very groovy and for sure a bop. Though, I don't find myself coming back to it as much as Frank Ocean's other work.
I love this track so much. The drums are punchy, it's catchy as hell, and it's written very well. I especially love the detail that as the track goes on, the miles left until the road runs out decreases throughout the song. Subtle things like that are awesome in music.
This EP was much better than the first. Family and Double Fantasy are great. Oh, and Devil's Paradise exists.
Best Track: Family (with Suzanna Son)
Weakest Track: Devil's Paradise
The Lure is nice to listen to a few times, but just that. Oh, and World Class Sinner/ I'm A Freak was certainly... something.
While Get It B4 and Take Me Back are mostly forgettable, A Lesser Man is actually great. Though, not great enough to save this EP from mediocrity.
Best Track: A Lesser Man
Weakest Track: Get It B4
A rather weak ending to this series of EP's.
Best Track: Dollhouse (with Lily Rose Depp)
Weakest Track: Crocodile Tears
This EP is fine. There’s nothing horrible but nothing too memorable.
Best Track: Jealous Guy
Weakest Track: One Of The Girls (with JENNIE, Lily Rose Depp)
This is what happens when you give Lil Baby an actual beat to rap over.
It fits with the movie but for The Weeknd standards, it's eh.
I've got to say it, this record is fantastic. From the grand opening track Ocho Rios, to the soft and contemplative track Cool, this record is so colorful and soulful. It sounds and feels like how a watercolor painting looks. The vast array of emotions that this record will make you feel alone makes this worth the listen. It’s amazing. Though, to be fair, there are some lower points like the forgettable Homiesexual and the poorly mixed Buyer's Remorse, but those points come once in a blue ... read more
I loved this record, and I wanted to love it more, but there are a few things holding it back. The first three quarters are amazing. Each and every track has it's own agency and they are all unique and fantastic. The record peaks at Goodbye Albert which, admittedly, made me a little emotional. In my personal opinion, it is one of the best songs that has come out of the year so far. The cracking of Damon's voice on it is just beautiful. But after Goodbye Albert, the record takes a dip in ... read more
This record moves at a breakneck pace and is all the better for it. It is pure funk cranked to the max. You can't help but just feel every note. Remain In Light was just so incredibly ahead of it's time. The production, vocal delivery, and abstract writing serve this record so, so well. David Byrne delivers an erratic and jaw dropping performance, and every member of the band has their time to shine in their respective fields. This is a timeless classic in every aspect.
