doesn’t hold a candle to the first one but that was to be expected when the features list of pusha T, 38 spesh, Black Thought, conway, and jadakiss are replaced by 2 Chainz, Chinx, Fat Joe, Rick Hyde, jim jones, and umm french montana for some reason. but bennys rapping is on par with his previous works the beats are very nostalgic sounding in typical griselda fashion harry fraud killed it on the production side and it overall is a very good listen

holy shit who is this. best hip hop debut since at least saturation and with time i think i might end up preferring smiling with no teeth out of the two. genesis owusu shows he can do anything and everything, the first song reminds me of a death grips track, and there’s also songs on this things that are extremely pleasing r&b/neo-soul. easily my aoty so far.

he’s been on my radar for a while now, listened to and enjoyed most of the falling man, honestly though this continues the trend of having full length albums that are imo not that great or attention keeping, this was super boring for the first 1/4 honestly luckily it picks up some but everytime i hear music from him it just feels like so much misplaced talent

i’m pretty sure i love this now but i’m not sure i also might not this is weird i’ve listened to this before multiple times and hated it but i’m tripping while listening and writing this and i’m still not sold entirely but the production has me intrigued as hell its so interesting in a good way

this must be what SRS sounds like to people who were disappointed in it.

a lot less consistent than i remmeber with choruses that hurt the replay value of many songs, still remarkable but slightly overrated

if this was only the best 7-10 songs it would be great there are flashes of the eminem i love on here and more of them then any of his recent albums but there is way too much filler and the filler is beyond just filler it’s unlistenable, it’s an 50 year old who has never in his life been able to sing yell/singing in the most ear piercing way

yes it’s just a worse kanye/gambino sound but it’s also a fucking debut album from a kid we all thought would be horrible i absolutely love some of the tracks on here mostly due to the production i’ll admit, but while that can be said about many trap artists we don’t all count that against them, it pissed me off when he kept talking about dirty dishes the intro especially is very memorable
