If <Hot Stuff> is an invitation for listeners to join their chill lifestyle, this sequel is where they do flex and be turnt up. And that’s why this album DON’T stays on their everyday life materials. Except for the final track - ‘Ace simmons’ - every materials they used on title is some hyped things on SNS media. It’s a level up just a bit, from Absolut to Ciroc.
Ironically, this concept of following hyped things simultaneously escalates and ... read more

Chaboom is one of the pioneers in Korean hiphop who proudly expose local slangs and products to his music. You cannot understand his lyrics without digging Korean culture and environment, particularly Ansan, the outskirts of Seoul Megapolis and his hometown. He is not luxurious guy nor ghetto boys, but a guy lurking in his own streets and spit what he's learnt from.
This is his EP with leebido, a young talented rapper who learnt from Chaboom. A song is an exhibition of ... read more
Guess there were too much beef on that pot, that dish sound like carolina reaper. I'm addicted to it and it still lingers in my earhole.

Isaiah's first EP is like an documentary about his sin and redemption. Pain, grief and agony throughout his lens, written in his pen, with gloomy ambience. And they mixed so good and reasonable, at least to me.

I think Komagata is now more of an artist now. Although I think the score is biased, but I do think it's an actually good project, even if I compare with other pop albums I've heard of. It's clean and concentrated, and most of the performance is on spot.
If you love J-pop, especially yui, miwa, or city pop genre, give it a shot. I cannot guarantee it's perfect, but it's at least ... read more

It's really good thing to talk with Thundercat in a quiet local pub. Surrounded by his witty songs and marvelous bass, it really makes me want to pour some Johnny Walker in my cup.

I've wrote a long, rusty essay about this album and my personal impressions about PC'd products. If you want to know what I'm thinking at these topics, read the elaborated part. Or just skim <Overall> and check the tracks I loved.

Coexistence of two different egos - implusive one and oppressed one - is surely not an easy topic to portrait on 35-minute album. And since TYRON's approach is the mutual connection between them, the narrative becomes trickier. So I guess slowthai intentionally made those two halves of the album resembles each other narratively, highlighting the different mindstate that he had to carry on.
