Competent synthpop. I can understand why Al disowned the album, as he does seem forced to conform to the sounds of the times (think Thompson Twins, Howard Jones, Real Life, etc) Effigy (I'm Not An) is my favorite track as is Revenge. Say You're Sorry is dark and brooding. Work For Love is okay, but it sounds utterly contrived. I could dance to What He Say. Here We Go is a power number.
