Such a hard tape, even the less talked about songs here are fantastic. 30 Shells is definitely the stain on this otherwise skipless tracklist. Daringer in his bag and Conway's lyricism here is amazing, though I'm not huge on the choruses. All of the features are amazing and as always Skyzoo kills the song he's on, I just always have to mention him when he pops up as a feature. Amazing mixtape, the best to have come out from the Griselda label at the time of release.
Man I'm so happy this was put on streaming, I hadn't listened to this project prior to it. Features do amazing and so does Conway over some of the most trademark grimy Daringer beats.
This album revealed to me how good Roc Marciano really was. Don't get me wrong, I like Reloaded, but this one hit differently for me. It was some pretty introspective tracks here like Thugs Prayer and Shoutro which I love, coming from Marci. The beat selection here is actually insane, most of the tracks are not the usual drumless style you associate to the underground legend, but instead some hard hitting, sample-based beats. His lyricism is obviously some of the best of this century, the ... read more
Sure it's not the core Griselda sound, but Benny still kills it over some HARD beats. Features do well and the pop rap choruses may be a bit cliché, but they work for the most part. Some songs here could've been cut off to make this a really concise album but I'm still happy at the way it turned out. One Way Flight is a bit overrated but there are some underrated songs here to compensate.
Only my first listen but it's already enough - this is my album of the year so far. Crumbs is one of the best songs of the decade and the tracklist is filled with amazing tracks, though some songs go on for a bit too long.
Very solid album! Roc Marciano, as always, is one of the best lyricists out and The Alchemist provides him a great selection of beats, like on the title track, Quantum Leap and Zig Zaz Zig. The features all do pretty well but the track with Ice-T is probably the worst. It's not an album I'm crazy over or need to listen everyday but it's super smooth and enjoyable.
Neat lil project its cool and very short, pretty forgettable though besides EGYPT which has a better remixed version as a single,
Just my first listen but it was pretty good! Definitely deserves a listen and I'm sure some people may like this more than I did. I love the content matter and production here, there's a good variety of sound here and Kenny Mason is lyrically sharp. JID my goat could never disappoint on a feature, but all features were good. This didn't blow me away but I still enjoyed it.
This has album has been growing on me slowly with time. If it weren't for Mustard (im trying not to say it too dont worry) this would be a skipless tracklist. Boldy raps like rent was due last week and Alc is in this heavy drum bag in some songs that goes super well. Even the drumless samples were all very well chosen and the features did very well, especially Benny and Gibbs on my two favourite songs - S.N.O.R.T. and Scrape the Bowl. Great album, I just feel some songs like Surf & ... read more
Pretty good album, I feel like a lot of the songs have very similar drums though. I Pray For You, Dreamin Of The Past, Neck & Wrist and LTSSTC are the standouts here. The song with Uzi and Don T was pretty disappointing and overall the 2nd half is quite hit or miss. This is still an album made by Pusha T, Kanye and Pharell though. How bad could it possibly be? Not much at all.
The worst I've heard from the series so far. Let's start with the good: Rolacks is an amazing song, the best beat of the mixtape, a good Gunn verse and Skyzoo with the best verse in the entire album. Bon Jovi shows us a young hungry Benny spit after a beat switch, helping the song not drag out much. I also liked the beat and Gunn performance on track 6. And that's about it. The rest of the tracks drag on for too long, the beats are repetitive and uneventful, features are okay, ... read more
I remember listening to this when it dropped on streaming services, way before I even got into hip-hop the way I do right now, and I remember just loving this, so if that's not an indicator of how great this duo is, I don't know what is. I don't think this is the best performance ever by Earl or Al, but it's a pretty equal showing by the two. Love the features by Vince, in 2 different songs, and MIKE, they definitely improved the songs they're on. I'm a bit sad ... read more
A classic, but it's a bit overrated. I was never blown away by the chipmunk production like other people, it's great and puts me in a good mood, but there isn't a beat that shocks me. This is still an amazing project, it's so great hearing this uplifting, relatable and energetic version of Kanye, and this is certainly revolutionary for the time, having aged beautifully. I do think tracks like Slow Jamz, Spaceship and Never Let Me Down aren't quite as good as people make ... read more
