I wanted to give this album a 10, but upon every listen, I can never seem to find any enjoyable part of the last 10 minutes of Moonchild (and 10 minutes is a lot). That being said, this album is still incredible with its killer instrumentals and thought-provoking narratives. The high moments on this album are through the roof.
Laid-back chill beats and flows remain throughout the record, but not in a way that feels boring. Instead, I like this album for its smooth production and catchy bars that stuck with me.
The Greatest stayed true to its title and was definitely my favorite song on this album. The rest of it was pretty fun for the most part but ultimately just not something that I would come back to.
I hold every track to a 10 on this record (besides El Mañana).
I grew up listening to this whole album on repeat so a lot of nostalgia factors have to do with my rating.
Upon first listen I fell in love with this record, and still even after that I feel like I've only ever grown to enjoy the album more and more after each spin. This is so far my favorite record of the 2020's.
Some of the best from Pink Floyd. Not only instrumentally and structurally, but also conceptually and narratively.
(this album made me cry)
Tyler continues to prove that his versatility is top-notch
It could very much just be nostalgia, but I prefer this over any RATM and Soundgarden projects
Though a track or two might have dragged on a little longer than I would have wanted it to, I still find the concept and storytelling on this album to be extremely compelling and profound, as well as the instrumentals also providing very groovy and vibey beats to accompany J. Cole's flow.
The highs on this album are extremely high such as FEEL, DUCKWORTH, and FEAR, but over time the lows started to really take away from the experience like YAH, and GOD. But still, I love this album minus just a couple of tracks.
