While it's held back a bit by some shaky mixing choices (particularly vocally) and slightly repetitive arrangements, Wendy Eisenberg still shows herself to be an excellent and ambitious songwriter on this self-titled album.

I'd love to watch the movie that he's sampling it sounds insane.
FAV TRACKS: Direct Line, Caught Feelings, Galice, XXX, Direct Line 2, The Narcissist
Probably the last decent Green Day album we're gonna get.

"The Rising" is an interesting album in Springsteens catalog since it feels like its signaling to a big change in sound but it doesn't know what that sound should be yet. There are songs on here that sound like new wave/industrial ballads, 90s alt rock, and grunge. There's even a song on here that takes influence from indian music and its one of Springsteens worst songs so far. I'm happy to see him experimenting since he's been working with the same sound for a ... read more
This album is another TPAB situation for me in which I've listened to it many times but after hearing it again for the first time in a couple years every aspect of it unlocked for me. I've always thought this was the best Beatles album, I now also think that it's a perfect album.
Twisted Teens newest album is an admirable attempt at combining lofi alt-country and post punk that doesn't fully stick the landing due to several inessential tracks. The band certainly shows potential, but they aren't there yet.
FAV TRACKS: I Operate, Little Seed, Not Real, White Hot Coal
Why did I relisten to this? What did I think I would pick up on a second time that I didn't the first?
I'm extremely disappointed in this. Yeat advertised this to be a massive experimentation but what's here is mostly extremely basic pop interpretations of rage. There are some good songs on here but they aren't enough to make up for how lackluster this thing is as a whole.
FAV TRACKS: Purpose General, Lose Control, Taller, Dangerous House, NO MORE GHOSTS, Naked, Went Wrong
It's unfortunate that this album can't be viewed by many outside of the lens of beating "good kid m.A.A.d city" at the Grammys, because on its own this is a pretty good album. Macklemore is corny at times but he's also unflinchingly sincere in a way that he deserves a lot of credit for. His politics on this album are pretty solid too.
FAV TRACKS: Ten Thousand Hours, Thrift Shop, Can't Hold Us, Same Love, Make the Money, Jimmy Iovine, Wing$, A Wake
This is really something special, I never thought this genre could be so consistently life affirming while still sticking to it's agressive sides. The new Bloodluxe songs are particularly incredible, there isn't one that I don't love. Slayr has set the bar for the rest of the underground rage scene, creating the most consistently experimental and excellent rage project since Yeat's "2093".

"U" is a wonderful tribute to the sentimental value of electronic music, while also being an interesting exploration into pop stardom at times.
FAV TRACKS: Music, Hollywood Forever,The Peace, Lovefield, Bodyfeeling, Do It, Wish U Well
I got this album randomly reccomended to me by Apple Music and this thing is great. A lot of this albums themes of modern self-destruction through technology hit hard. I also love the No Wave sound the band creates here, it's instrumentally tense and fits the lyrical content perfectly. This won't be for everyone but if you're a fan of bands like Contortions, Minutemen, and Gang of Four I'd highly reccomend it.

There is a lot of good things about this album musically, I love the energy it has instrumentally. The album falters though due to not having much to say on the lyrical front. It's a fun enough time, but nothing super noteworthy.
FAV TRACKS: I'm The Outside, Zero, DU$T, The Beat
I really wanted to love this more then I did since it has moments of absolute brilliance but there are too many songs that don't hit me at all for me to fall in love with it. There is no world where that song with Father shouldve been anything more then a non-album single. Still a good album though that has some incredible highlights.
FAV TRACKS: Room Temperature, Hurts Me Too, Jonny, Kingston, What Used To Be Mine, Jonny (Reprise)
EDIT 2 4-->3: I dislike this more and more every day the version of me that had anything positive to say about this album feels like a different person.
EDIT 6-->4: The more I think about this album the more I dislike it. I think that Jack has acted incredibly weird in the promotion of this and the music isn't good enough to salvage that.
ORIGINAL:
Harlows voice is certainly limited, but this is a pretty decent attempt at making a Neo-Soul album. It sounds like he did his homework ... read more
Brian Sella doesn't really blend to well with the very solid Chamber Folk production on his solo debut. A lot of these songs would work a lot better with drums.
FAV TRACKS: South Dakota, Perfect Worth It
I hadn't listened to this album in full in like 5 years and after revisiting it's a lot better then I remembered it being. It has some songs that aren't very good, but it also has some of the most emotionally resonant moments in the bands catalog. I think the big problem with it is that it wasn't the right album for this point in their career, since it discusses almost none of what the band went through with Ameer Vann leaving the group. I think that if GINGER had been ... read more
