Danny Brown - Stardust
80

Danny Brown's most optimistic album yet.

Lily Allen - West End Girl
70

David Harbour you are nothing.

Earl Sweatshirt - solace
80

An incredibly raw look at depression.

Snocaps - Snocaps
70

A solid indie rock and alt-country project from the Crutchfield twins. I wish MJ Lenderman did backing vocals on some of the songs though, he sounded great on the last Waxahatchee album.

Favorite Tracks: Coast, Heathcliff, Brand New City, Cherry Hard Candy, Angel Wings, I Don't Want To, You in Rehab

Sigrid - There's Always More That I Could Say
70

Some really solid and punch synth-pop.

Favorite Tracks: I'll Always Be Your Girl; Jellyfish; Two Years; Hush Baby, Hurry Slowly; Fort Knox; Eternal Sunshine

ian - 2005

I don't want to hate Ian forever. I don't like what he stands for as an artist, being a mediocre rapper whose success is entirely based off of his fellow frat boys desperate for a trap artist that looks like them, but that doesn't mean he needs to be that way forever. I would love for him to turn into a Yeat situation, an artist who I thought was complete shit that turned out to have way more going for them beyond the surface. The problem is that Ian consistently shows less and ... read more

Jim Legxacy - black british music (2025)
80

EDIT 7-->8: There are still some songs that don't land on here, but there's also so many songs that are absolute masterpieces. I love so much about this tape and I'm so excited for where he goes next.

If he can bridge the gaps between his influences, Jim Legxacy could end up being something truly special.

Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
80

"Nebraska" is the type of album that seems destined for hindsight. An entirely acoustic album made between two of Springsteen's biggest releases, this has gone on to be one of his most acclaimed albums. I personally think that, while great, it does not live up to some of his other work. Sometimes the acoustic performances can feel a little to similar to one another, and some songs might benefit from going electric. But tracks like "Nebraska", "Atlantic City", ... read more

CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP - Become Nothing
80

CHOP (x7) come through with the most abrasive album of 2025.

Hayden Pedigo - I'll Be Waving As You Drive Away
80

On first listen, I found this to be fine but somewhat boring. It's really grown on me though and I now appreciate the mood Hayden is able to capture here. It's a gorgeous testament to a version of America that never actually existed.

Chuck Berry - Berry Is on Top
70

WELL SHE WAS JUST 13 I WAS 31! I SAID LITTLE GIRL LETS HAVE SOME FUN I'M GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL! SHE'S 13 YEARS OLD! I'M GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL THAT'S 13 YEARS OF AAAAAAAAAAGE!!!

Full of Hell & Merzbow - Full of Hell & Merzbow
90

Full Of Hell & Merzbow match eachother perfectly. One of the best and most unique metal albums I've heard in a while.

Falling In Reverse - Popular Monster
10

An awful combination of extremely basic metal core and some of the whiniest lyrics rock music has to offer.

PARTYOF2 - AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY!
80

RE: @Wither review of this album

I originally wanted to comment on your review, but I realized while writing that I would not have a ton of space to work with if I were to do that. I personally enjoyed this album, but I wouldn’t normally respond to a review I disagree with like this (unless I was in an extremely bad mood, which unfortunately has happened before and has been quite embarrassing haha). I have no aim to try to change your opinion on the album, you are obviously welcome to ... read more

Kid 'n Play - 2 Hype
50

Really fun at times but at other times it displays pretty much every negative stereotype about 80's hip-hop

Bruce Springsteen - Tunnel of Love
90

I'm kind of shocked that this album isn't rated as high as Springsteens other work. This is one of the most heartbreakingly sad portrayals of love I've heard in music. One of the best divorce albums ever.

Tribal Gaze - Inveighing Brilliance
80

A blistering combo of death metal and thrash metal. My favorite metal album of the year so far, would highly reccomend.

Gucci Mane - Episodes
60

Definetly too long, but there's some good tracks on here. Solid late stage Gucci Mane project.

Simon & Garfunkel - Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme
80

I like that half the songs on this album have Fall Out Boy style song titles.

The Beach Boys - Sunflower
90

This is on par with Pet Sounds in my opinion. So many absolutely incredible and blissful moments. "Forever" is one of the greatest love songs ever written.
