This album was always an interesting case to me, as Pinkerton was my introduction to Weezer. I loved the electric guitar they used and the general raw soundscape formed by being self-produced. When I first heard Blue, I found it to be way more generic and kind of uninteresting. I think I may have thought this because of the state of mind I was in when I first heard the two albums. I was in semester one of ninth grade and was overworked, unmotivated, and lonely. So Pinkerton spoke to me much ... read more
THIS MIGHT SEEM UNRELATED, BUT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT EVERY REASON THIS PROJECT IS SO SPECIAL: Feed Me Jack is my favourite band/musical act of all time. A lot of my time listening to this artform has been to find another band or even project that captivates me the same way that they've managed to do. I've genuinely spent hours scrolling through Reddit or the math rock/pop genre charts on RYM (yes, I do need to find more productive ways to spend my free time). Through this method, I have found ... read more
The artistic evolution from Cherry Bomb to this is crazy. Tyler's songwriting is the best it's ever been up to this point, mostly focusing on his self-growth. And while the production overall is really solid, the synths especially sound absolutely amazing. However, nothing here captivates me like the material on Tyler's two following projects, and there's a couple songs that make me tune out.
Top three favourite songs: 911/Mr. Lonely, November, Where This Flower Blooms

I don't know... on one hand, I really love Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff as MCs. Their voice, flows, and chemistry with each other are absolute standouts in trap and even hip-hop as a whole. On the other hand, ~80% of the songs have some of the most uninspired and boring production I've heard on a trap album. There are some really nice synths and piano on Big On Big and hard-hitting 808s on Deadz, but those are the only memorable beats on the entire tracklist.

I was introduced to Tkay Maidza from her guest vocals on THE GHOST OF RANKING DREAD!, which was probably my favourite feature on LP! and a big reason that TGORD is my favourite Peggy song (for now).
This EP definitely isn't what I expected in comparison to her feature, instead consisting of performances that range from melodic to brazen and bold production, mostly taking inspiration from neo-soul, house, and trap. The mood switches from poppy to melodic to insanely hard-hitting. But ... read more
I like the songwriting and the rabbit on the cover but everything else about this album makes me want to kill myself
Maybe my favourite double rap album? NOTM is pretty solid, but Jenny Death is some eye-opening stuff.
Top four favourite songs: Why A Bitch Gotta Lie, On GP, Turned Off, I Break Mirrors With My Face In the United States
Milo says less dumb shit here than on their debut. Milo Goes to College is still my favourite from the Descendents, but it's aging somewhat poorly for me, while I think this just gets better with every passing year.
Favourite song: I Won't Let Me
Young Thug might be the best vocalist in rap since Lauryn Hill...
Top three favourite songs: Harambe, Future Swag, Wyclef Jean
Least favourite song: Floyd Mayweather
Insanely boring other than the hits.
Songs I liked: 'Till I Collapse, Without Me, Sing for the Moment, Say Goodbye Hollywood, Cleanin' Out My Closet
HIS ONLY ALBUM WITH MORE HITS THAN SKIPS.
Top three favourite songs: Role Model, Rock Bottom, Still Don't Give a Fuck
Least favourite song: Cum on Everybody
WCIY to MANIAC prevents it from getting the 100, but everything before and after is amazing.
Top six favourite songs: Erase Me, GHOST!, All Along, Trapped In My Mind, Mojo So Dope, Mr. Rager
Least favourite song: Wild'N Cuz I'm Young
Am I tripping by saying that Cudi's first two projects are also like Weezer's first two thematically? Both start off as practically pop albums, and both sophmore projects are darker (and better) than their debuts.
Top five favourite songs: Cudi Zone, Up Up & Away, Enter Galactic (Love Connection, Pt. I) , Soundtrack 2 My Life, Hyyer
Least favourite song: My World
