A predictable downgrade from Illmatic, but still lyrically potent and true to his roots
80’s rap staple. Not as inventive and doesn’t hold as much character as de la ‘s later records, but still good nonetheless
East coast hip hop at its zenith. Mobb deep assembled the rap avengers for this record.
A sampling masterpiece. Only critique is that it can get a little slow at points
Not sure how well this aged, but it’s still a strong conscious rap album
An audaciously beautiful jazz rap fusion record. But I just don’t find myself coming back to it
Insane production, but boldly could try a little harder

Listened to stars and wanted it to be fantastic, but was way too homogenous overall. Still a pretty nice record though
