The perfect jazz album

Too not like us’y but has some strong rnb tracks and vibes

One of the most charming and intriguing modern jazz records out there. Its atmosphere is warm and inviting, while still having a few rough edges.

A predictable downgrade from Illmatic, but still lyrically potent and true to his roots

80’s rap staple. Not as inventive and doesn’t hold as much character as de la ‘s later records, but still good nonetheless

East coast hip hop at its zenith. Mobb deep assembled the rap avengers for this record.

Great lyricism and smooth beats. What more could you ask for

A sampling masterpiece. Only critique is that it can get a little slow at points

Consistently vibes. Good summer album

Duvet is sensational, and twilight, rain, elephant, and welcome were all good too. However, it sort of just repeats the same concept throughout the whole album without creating anything new, so if this album was half its length or even just a few songs, it would hold the same potency

Not sure how well this aged, but it’s still a strong conscious rap album

First and last tracks were great.2 and 3 were kinda mid

Was pretty slow and kinda hit or miss until the last 5 tracks where madlib just knocked it out of the park.

Listened to stars and wanted it to be fantastic, but was way too homogenous overall. Still a pretty nice record though
