This album is incredibly ahead of its time, and I wouldn't have batted an eye if someone said it came out in the 00s. Nothing like this had ever been made before in 1967, all music was were just jazz and classical and the Beatles. Heaviest band around was the Rolling Stones. This just blows all of the time's musical context right out of the water, and brings such an amazing sound with it. A legendary record, and an absolute classic.

Where is blobfish???

It felt like a bit of a slog at times, but that's obviously intentional by the artist. It's certainly quite an experience to spend your day with, although not as worth it or as good as EATEOT was. This album has a lot of ratings... therefore, that amount of people have listened to the whole thing in its 12 years of existence. Therefore, either time travel or time bending has been invented in the modern day.

I love the atmosphere of this so much, it paints such a morbid, eerie, bleak picture that fits right into a dark sci-fi movie. Space ambience is so fucking cool.

I may be biased due to the massive amount of nostalgia I have towards this game, but I literally don't care dude it's a 10.

I remember being 9 years old and watching YuB and Jacksepticeye's playthroughs of this game, then a couple years later I finally picked it up, and played and livestreamed the shit out of it. Parannoul is ten times better when it's recorded live in rough quality. That version of Into the Endless Night is one of the greatest things to come out this decade.

I know I keep saying this for every one, but this is the best album in the trilogy. Hands down.
Pure dread, desolation, terror, pain, agony and descent into insanity encapsulated in sound.

Let's look on the bright side; this is the first time from my experience that Swans have even partially missed.
This album just feels like leftovers. Entirely. I never thought I would consider a Swans album or Swans song to be 'dragging on', especially during the second half.
But hey, an 8/10 for Swans is a negative review??? They are the best band in existence

I feel like I should've aged a few years in those 40 minutes

You walk down the docks of the grimy fishing town harbour. It's a rainy day, and old rustic ships line the shores. Shady people hang around every corner smoking their cigars. It's cold and wet, and the cobbled walls are covered in thick moss and seaweed. The big dogs are on their leashes, the gulls and the pigeons are perched on the gutters.

This album does not let up. It has everything, it's got horror, immense artistic depth, experimentation, intricate layering, massive builds, dark soundscapes, chilling and unnerving lyrics, everything I could ever want in a 2 and a half hour musical experience.

Honestly, it's not even terrible. It is very unoriginal, but otherwise overhated.
Nonetheless, I still could have made better music when I was 7 years old.
