the entertainment weekly review of this is insane to me because this song is so obviously a fucking parody of barbie's perceived submissiveness, alongside a very on-the-nose depiction of ken as a gross skeevy douchebag. i disagree that barbie as a brand is all about influencing little girls to be submissive and look up to skinny models with huge boobs but this song is literally not saying that! it is FAR from an endorsement of the way a lot of people see barbie!

this is a re-listen because i kind of tuned it out the first time around (not on purpose i was just barely paying attention)

been waiting for this since they performed blue at the paramore show i went to uhmmm yesyesyesyes i enjoy this a lot!!!!!!! high life is so fucking annoying though thats really the only thing that drags this thing down imo lmao

i like it! a lot!!!! obviously not their best but in terms of theme i think its cool!!!!! just a nice slow album. honestly i am grateful we're getting new blur stuff at all lmfao. easy on the ears, songs are way too short which makes me sad but still i like them a lot :-)

favorite tracks: st. charles square, barbaric, russian strings, the narcissist, avalon, the heights

least favorite track: the everglades (for leonard)
