i would call this a very evenly matched album, the first part pertains to what Bowie's music has evolved to, having a lot of funk to it, what i can describe the other half as is an ambient experience rather than just an album with songs. the sounds and vibrations speak to us in uncertainty it seems (at least to me), like we've suddenly started floating out in space with no knowing if we'll ever come back, so there remains some sort of tension.
