Quite a nice fun and catchy song, I think she timed it perfectly since it's now summer in most of the world.
However, I would have expected a bit more from her. The song seems a bit too static until the final "sooolarr poweer" based chorus and doesn't really impress me like Green Light did in Melodrama, but anyway...
SOOOOLARRRR POOOWERRRRRRR
oh and yeah, I'm so so happy for Claire and Phoebe to be in the back vocals. Deserved. Shout out to them.
I've been really looking forward to this record since I really liked Visions of A Life. I've listened to it for about one time and a half and it seems more consistent and coherent from start to finish, compared to their previous record that had many highs but also remarkable lows ( as an example, I loved Heavenward, Don't Delete The Kisses and Sky Musings but I couldn't stand Yuk Foo).
Here, instead, it looks like every track finds its ideal place like a puzzle and this surely helps to enjoy ... read more
A marvelous, beautiful, intense yet calming record with some awesome songwriting (props to Ellie and the band).
FAV SONG: Sky Musings
LEAST FAV SONG: Yuk Foo (sorry, I can't stand it)
Wow. This is way way better than HSSS.
I'm trying not to overhype everything but besides Death Stranding this is their first very good song since 2016 imo!
Edit. This has grown on me already, I think only The Mother We Share and Under The Tide managed to amaze me more than this song did. Absolutely spectacular.

I feel guilty for having discovered them so late, but late it's better than never I guess.
I just love it. The tunes, the lyrics, the whole concept it offers. Everything it's just on point.
And yeah, Myth has the potential to become one of my fav songs ever.
I don't really dislike how the song is composed. I mean, the base is kinda cool although it's an old type of rock that's done and dusted (rock and roll has no place to exist in 2021 since its meaning is way different to today's concept of music).
The big problem with this song is the lyrics: it looks like something a 13 yo teenager would write and find it deep, makes me wish I didn't know Italian.
But I can see why non-Italian people voted and supported it: they looked cool on stage, they ... read more
Really love the instrumentals, I could jam to this all day.
However, I don't really like the lyrics.
It feels like it's just a typical angry song with some really nice bass and drums to it.
I can only imagine how amazing this would sound in a festival like Glasto or Primavera, full of people.
Just imagine them singalong with their phone's flash to this. Pure damn chills.
EDIT: I didn't expect it, but it grew on me a bit.
I like how the verses are written: they're quite simple but in the same time powerful, something that was missing in LID. However, the chorus is still very weak, and I still hate how much vocoder/autotune is used in the song. I think the whole song would have been better if the production was as dry as songs like Down Side of Me, it's useless to use so much vocoder if you have such a versatile voice like Lauren's in your band.

UPDATE 25/12/2020 // 3rd place AOTY 2020 //
I'm writing about an artist I didn't know at all before this self-titled record (shame on me).
This girl has so so much talent, shifting from the likes of Bittersweet to more calmly/slow-paced songs like Read My Mind, to the breathing cover of Radiohead's Weird Fishes and ending with the awesome Sour Flower, it had me surprised even after hours of listening.
Surely one to keep an eye on in the near future!

Rise Up is literally the only listenable song here, the rest is huge pile of shite.
A promising album since Grounds first came out as a single.
Some songs like Mr.Motivator, War and Anxiety are straight fire, pure fucking bangers.
I'm back!
I've been listening to this album since it came out and I just love it, despite not being a massive fan of Taylor Swift.
One of the highlights of this album for me it's the "Teenage Love Triangle", consisting in three songs where the main theme is a love story between two teenagers. There are also some connections to her childhood and such, making this record quite intimate and intriguing.
I've tried writing a 'formal' review for this record and I think I can't really express my feeling doing so.
I'll just say why this record it's going to be one of my faves: it's incredibly personal.
Being an only child, I've always suffered this feeling of not having a brother or sister and some friends of mine kept telling I was lucky not to have any sibling.
In reality, what you really miss as an only child is love: this word is a bit different for a teenager who happens to be an only child ... read more
Medulla's probably the very first experimental album Bjork has ever done and I love it when artists go further and further in their ideas and shape their own type of music.
However, I can't say that I loved this record like any previous ones.
While listening to it, I felt that the experiment of using just voices instead of real instruments didn't really pay off: in some tracks I really felt that feeling of "something is missing here..." that I've never felt in any Bjork record prior ... read more
Very radiohead-esque sound, but still awesome.
Vespertine is clearly more love-centered compared to Homogenic, Post and Debut, but Bjork's breathtaking ability in writing lyrics makes it still very enjoyable.
It's not as complete as her previous album, Homogenic, which I find to be the best album she has ever released yet.
Fav tracks: Hidden Place, Cocoon, It's Not Up to You, Undo, Pagan Poetry, Frosti/Aurora, An Echo a Stain
Least fav: Heirloom
Being a Chvrches fan, I got to know Let's Eat Grandma because they opened for them on the Europe tour.
However, I didn't listen to any of their stuff until a week ago, when I heard a live track on Youtube for the first time and then decided to go on listening to the entire record.
I'll be honest. I like I'm All Ears, a lot. There are interesting and surprising tracks considering the group is made of basically two teenagers (like me :D) and I think that the best thing about this record is how ... read more
Charli seems to give her best in some tracks (the album actually starts off quite strong), but the rest of it is quite repetitive and forgettable after a few listen.
Favorite tracks: Sucker, Break The Rules, Breaking Up, Boom Clap, Body of My Own, Die Tonight
Least fav track: Doing It
