Now I don't really like eminem's music but I fkg love Marshall Matters LP and I love how he went back to those roots but with character developpement. I really didn't feel like eminem was being offensive or trying to get cancelled? Slim Shady was, but that's the whole concept of the album. And that's why he killed him, because Slim Shady isn't relevant anymore, music-wise and especially to eminem's own life.

The songwritting on this album is absolutely fantastic to me and it has personally influenced me so much since the release. Sonically it feels like a cinematic journey, frequently using elements of orchestral music and sampling which I think highlights the strong emotions explored throughout the tracklist.
