So there I was, sitting here on my chair, bored out of my skull with aoty pulled up, curious if I missed any albums labeled conscious hip hop that released this year, for some reason. The year was still pretty young, so I was confident I wouldn’t find anything new to listen to that interested me. But then I saw this album, with its 3 ratings and one 100 score review, and I decided to take a chance and listen to it. I mean, why not?
AND DAMN, THIS ALBUM WAS HARD TO FIND! (not ... read more
MARIO JUDAH MADE ASS, THIS TIMELINE IS CURSED πππ
Did YOU know this was coming out, because I had no goddamn idea! It just kinda spawned in, which was pretty disappointing.
Yeah, this was kind of a mess, to put it lightly. Unfortunately for Luigi's brother, he woke up from cryosleep a bit too late for him to remain relevant, like imagine if her actually released music 2 years ago and rode the wave created by his Whole Lotta Red, it would have probably been fire. But yeah, this ... read more

Trap: The Musical
I honestly can't fathom the truth that the same guy who made "CRACK CLOUD$ OVER ARTS KITCHEN" is on a shitty trap cover of "Miss You" by Blink-182, like WHAT TIMELINE ARE WE IN
I'm definitely out of my element here, this was just not my thing unfortunately. First two songs were great, and so was the closing track "Skeleton Tree", but the rest of the album didn't pull me in as much as it wanted to. The writing is pretty haunting, all things considered, but in terms of musical ideas, the ones I connected with were too few and far between.
Can't believe the guys who made "Heat Waves" changed their sound this much, good for them
Nah but fr this shit absolutely floored me
I really wanted to like this more, but it's just too inconsistent for me to thoroughly enjoy.
A lot of the vocal performances display a great deal of anger, but very few interesting ideas ultimately result from it. Many songs on here often feel like screaming over hi hats and blown out bass, void of any catchy or even interesting qualities. And ultimately, this album feels like it consists of demos from Afourteen's "Black Flamingo" that weren't fully realized or developed.

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect to be won over by this album. And for the entire first half, 8 tracks in, I was completely bored. But right when Travis Scott came in, something changed. I started to enjoy some of the subsequent songs more than I expected to. "prove it", "just like me", and the last 2 songs were genuinely enjoyable from front to back.

This album was pretty inconsistent overall.
- Sometimes Kenny's voice works and fits the track well, but other times I fount it annoying and irritating. "BLACK HEART and "BOA" are prime examples of his vocal inflection getting on my nerves, while "333 / ATOM" encapsulates his style done right.
- Sometimes the feature added to the album, but other times they felt unnecessary. Young nudy's vocals especially felt like a bad rip from an AI vocal isolator, while Jean ... read more
