Cool rn&b, doesnt really settle in one aesthetic or commit to being weird so its in a weird middle ground, but nonetheless I still enjoyed. The features he grabbed here were amazing and a welcome pace changer. I enjoyed sirs lyrics.
Its didn't try to be more than it was and I think that worked at pretty well with some really creative spots and a super chill and enjoyable listen but not anything special
We Still Don't trust you eh? Lets just state it here Future is not a good singer. There are some moments that are like HORRENDOUS but future got such a good natural voice its usually tolerable. Metros production is solid but definitely not anything above average from him, and Future struggled to stay on pace with some of the beats.
Disk 2 is a bit better and has some cool flows from fut.
Feature wise Abel and Rocky killed its and the rest were fine. The only feature I had a problem with was J. ... read more
Super messily put together, but it's keef hes just fun, there were a few songs I liked a lot. the tags and trapaholics was a lil funny but it got annoying. Mixed bag
update 92->82 its really grew off me I dont know:( og review below
Travis discog dive part 3: I went into this thinking "no way he tops rodeo" but im happy to say i think he did. One of very few albums that I can say this about but this scratches the same itch of an old kanye album, specifically this feels a lot like graduation and thats crazyyy. It really felt like travis was reaching for the stars(astros or some bad joke) and he actually reached it. Just like kanye he isnt ... read more
Review #100!:(we'll be back to travis dive after this btw)I wanted to do an album that meant something to me for the 100th review so I revisited Man on the Moon and happy to say its still great.
This album just feel like cudis holding you tight from whats coming at you, and its so heartwarming. Cudi is always able to make me feel some type of emotion here. Cudi singing always compliments his rapping and prevents him from ever feeling to monotone. Solo dolo still makes me feel something and I ... read more
travis discog dive part 2:good peaks but inconsistant, I found compared too rodeo this album didnt leave me nearly as entranced. Like i lowkey felt like lost in the elements of rodeo, they were a few moments that really snapped me out of that on here.
The features on here are great and kept me from being bored on this album but Travis felt a little too one note in some spots and I dont think his presence felt strong enough to carry some songs. His lyricism was pretty solid, and I thought his ... read more
Travis Scott Discog Dive Pt1:(i might go to days before rodeo after i finish this but im jus doing his studio albums for now)
The mixing and vocals are some of the most tasteful ive ever seen in a trap album, and the production is amazing.
Every features feels so purposeful. Travis's lyricism while not the most complex feels so impactful especially with the vocal effects and autotune leaving the echo, on "Oh my dis side" i especially loved travis's preformance. Travis isnt afraid to ... read more
This one of those songs thats walks the line soooooooooo close to being so incredibly corny, but I think wayne made it out unscathed.
Waynes not a good singer, but I honestly think that works for this song in showing his true emotion, and it really help the sentiment spread, love this song for just how heartfelt and real it feels.
Before getting into the real review il talk about my biggest problem.
One of the worst cases of logic syndrome ive ever seen, cordae kinda just takes a lot from others and its painfully obvious, sometimes it hurts a LOT and sometimes he gets away with it not feeling to derivative.
This is kinda like a chance the rapper project for a good portuon of the project in the general sounds and ways the tracks flow, but instead of being defined by heartfelt performances and charisma its defined by ... read more
I wanted to like this so much but it just didnt work for me, whenever I did like on of their other verses the other members veered in a direction I didnt like
The f*ck the industry edgy doesnt really work for me in my opinion and comes off more preformative and just like an aesthetic. Lyricially I didnt connect with much in here when I did listen. Lastly just idk about the vocal effects, i get thats the whole thing that makes them the standout but its too much.
They aren't good singers either ... read more
Lots of fun and I loved the jazzy production, Some bad punchlinds and iffy verses prevent this from being truly great but its really fun for what it is. Sadly as much as I love karrahbooo, but her voice is different than the others and I dont think she was implemented to well in how this project was sequenced and shook up the song in a way that messed up the mood ig, although i did like her preformances
very fun album though thats scatter brained but i love all these rappers and how their ... read more
throughly enjoyed this, cant beleive ive came around to this direction for andre but ay i love it
Okay it took me a while to admit but this is better than channel orange. Beautiful vocals great lyrics. Franks way of expressing his emotions is so great White Ferarri can bring me to tears. Near flawless album absolutely love this.
Really enjoyed pusha's verse but I wish it was longer, Ray didnt live up to pusha's verse but he didnt do bad either.
Tyler discog dive p4:
??? this album is legitimately wtf core and I kinda love it is is so fun.
mixing the vocals of this album are trash(which is a shame cause i see some vocal moments that coulda been cool)but idk it doesnt take away too much for me.
The title track is also atrocious let's just be honest
This whole album feels like its having an identity crisis, and part of me loves that. Like how does this album go from "run" to "find your wings"? Tylers clearly trying ... read more
