i'm a huge fan of synthpop most of the time, and this album does a great job of channeling 80s energy into a modern setting. i can easily imagine most of its songs being from that era, and that's a very good thing.

i have to say that i was very mistaken about this album. on multiple subsequent listens, the thing has grown on me and i've come to appreciate it more than i used to. ecco2k's voice is probably my favorite thing on earth, since he sounds so calming despite a lot of the subject matter on the album. they're enhanced so much by the dreamy instrumentals and heavy repetition, getting lost and mystified by the album.

again with the languages i don't speak! regardless, i'm not really a fan of how this album fuses edm with bubblegum bass, since a lot of the time it just sounds like it's trying too hard to sound futuristic.

i wish i spoke spanish so i could understand what's going on on this album, since it's a catchy, more traditional bubblegum bass effort that doesn't have a bad moment on it.

this electronic fever dream pushes bubblegum bass into a darker direction, although it still maintains the bouncy production that makes the genre fun to listen to.

this album is stunning, even if i don't understand the lyrics. the implementation of rock music into j-pop is a really unique idea, and this album pulls it off incredibly well.

this album gives us thrilling chamber pop that isn't afraid to take risks, incorporating some bits of electronic production that sound fine for the most part, as well as upbeat melodies that are a nice to listen to.

while checking out some cabaret albums, i stumbled across this one, and its cover interested me. after listening to its first track, "in your head," i was instantly hooked by its catchiness and instrumentation. these aspects carry on throughout the album, and made for a very vivacious listen that kept me interested throughout. toward the back end of this album, it takes a dark turn that only enhances its sound and builds to a grand, show-stopping finale.
