I understand that this won't be everyone's cup of tea, but holy shit, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't like it. Even though the album is an hour and 3 minutes and it's just one long song throughout, it's easily gotta be one of the best one-song albums I've ever listened to and is easily up there with other one-song albums like Long Season by Fishmans. It's finally nice to see one of my GOATs back in action. I've been a Karnivool fan for many years and to say that I've been anxiously waiting for the new record for a long time would be quite an understatement. It really does seem like these guys only had one great album in them and then nothing else cuz holy shit, this is absolutely embarrassing.
Oh hell yeah!!! We are so fucking back. This is easily their best album since Koi No Yokan. I had an absolute blast with this one. It's an absolute must-listen, especially if you're a Deftones fan.
Sorry, I don't see the appeal. It's Incredibly boring IMO and I only managed to get halfway through. It just sounds like very generic indie pop to me with nothing very interesting going on. If you like it, then great. More power to ya. However, I'm just not big on it.
Although I do understand why people love Sleep Token, I just can't get into them. My biggest problem with them is that their music is just really really really fucking BOOOORRRING!!! Seriously, their music is so agonizingly overdramatic and boring as hell and this album is no different. You'd think with a band so overly ambitious in combining all these genres of pop and metal together, you'd get more interesting results or at least something. However, you really don't. ... read more
