We are so lucky to be living at the same time as Gorillaz.
Experiencing my first live Gorillaz launch since The Now Now feels like night and day, and not to beat a blue haired horse anymore than it has too, but it's because the quality of the music has that same feel older records have that newer releases have lacked for the last few years. I’m so happy that iconic album Rubber Soul has 13 awesome tracks to listen to! not a single one is a horrifying fantasy about harming an innocent woman in a fit of jealously :)
While this is a made compilation made from an unfinished album, most of the songs here are still very good and full of emotion. I dare say most of them can stand on their own, and I will always mourn that such a brilliant artist like Jeff went out too soon...
Nothing burger album. Every songs feels like it wants to be a single but they are all so bland and ultimately uninspired.
If this released in the 2010s it would have probably banged more than it will today in the present, as it also sounds very of that era of easy pop.

I was casually just entering my Avant-Rock era apparently as I got recommended "Motorbike" by the Apple algorithm (Thank you my liege) and I couldn't believe my ears as I heard how the track developed.
