AUTECHRE DEEP DIVE #13
This is the first Autechre album that doesn’t quite pass my vibe check. The experimentation is dialled up by 50% compared to elseq 1, which results in a very harsh, abstract sound with very few ideas you can grab on to.

Liking this part more than the first! It’s got a lot more emphasis on noise and melody-less passages, with a very clear and concise IDM sound that ultimately feels more alien and by association, more intriguing.
Standout: Elyc6 0nset
Favs: chimer 1-5-1, c7b2
Least fav: none tbh
Revisiting elseq, part 2:
Chimer and c7b2 are both incredibly fun, and Elyc6, despite its monumental length, is pretty enjoyable and really flies by.
