Change was good to listen to and even better to dance to, and one could not ask more of the Sugababes or any other so-called manufactured pop band.

Time Out London
‘Change’ is an oddly mixed bag – not sweet, not soured, just so-so. Shame.

The Guardian

Change is indisputably a mixed bag: between beautifully-crafted bulletproof pop songs such as Denial, there are longueurs, during which one track after another seems to evaporate as it comes out of the speakers.

Evening Standard

Change's strength lies in the group's refusal to change their sound, no matter how often they change their personnel.

NME
With repetitive pop that fails to keep up with the melodies of Girls Aloud, a song like ‘Never Gonna Dance Again’ seems less than a threat and more of a promise.

The Independent

Despite earning Brownie points for depriving X Factor winner Shayne Ward of his expected No 1, there's little else for Sugababes to crow about on Change

Change is the first Sugababes album since Mutya's departure and it's a great way to mark a new chapter in their career. It has a fresh feel to it as it's more commercial than anything they've done before but it still has its quirkiness, so it's a good compromise. The first half of the album is fantastic and it might be one of the best run of Sugababes songs ever. The harmonies on Denial are fantastic and show how well Amelle has adapted into the group.

Incredibly inconsistent compared to their previous records and one of their least talked about albums. This was the first Sugababes album without her Mutya and it just doesn't feel the same however, the performances are decent but there are some notable flaws on this release. It does get a but repetitive on the 2nd half but the first half is still incredibly strong. Overall, a good album but one of their weakest overall.

This was the Sugababes first album without the edge that was Mutya and I actually think they pulled it off pretty well. It’s just generic dance-pop, but for the most part it’s GOOD generic dance-pop. There are some skips towards the end of the tracklist, but the first half is great.
