Day 8 of RB rec month:
Thanks @Wout_Pieters, for the recommendation !

I don’t know what went wrong.

The first song was a solid 9/10, maybe one of the best of the month, but then it just all fell apart??? After the first song that was aggressive, loud, and energetic, with great vocals and intriguing drums, it all just got slow and boring. Every other track just felt like someone reading of a script, without any instrumental. It was just plain boring.

Aside from the first song, I did ... read more

It is no secret that I am a bit of a Garreth Lidiard fan, having been introduced to his work by the band tropical fuck storm, then looking through the back catalogue of the drones' work. After seeing these genres I must admit that curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give it a try! It's only now that I realize this project is tied to TFS, whose music I did also enjoy. This comparatively is far more slow and deliberate, it build and crescendos with a lot of emotional intensity. It's experimental and interesting however the general vibe remains relatively consistent throughout, which can make it drag a bit at times. I think this would have benefited from some ... read more
