Despite some dirty feathers in her tail (the plodding “Scarlet Ribbons”) this pop peacock is definitely on her own and loving it. This all means that I better start brushing up on my dance music.

Overpowered is both impressive and incredibly fun, but fun in a way that Ruby Blue wasn't: you don't have to think here. Which, I mean, it's not that one is better than the other; they're just differently awesome.

Holy shit i love this so much.
So I randomly discovered this artist yesterday through her new single "fader" and i quite enjoyed it, it was wierd and abstract, right up my alley. Then i was recommended to listen to this album by @SolaceOfOrder (cheers mate).

Brief Review: A lot more interesting than the debut, even if it’s still got some guff here and there. But the highs are def higher and better, and I def enjoyed this more. Cool knowing this is the direction she went in from this point forward, it fits her a lot more.

This album is so interesting. It radiates this captivating, soothing, and energetic sound without being overly triumphant. Absolutely incredible. Roisin Murphy is one of the most interesting faces of the 21st century, and this is her best record till date. Overpowered is such an intriguing and frenetic love rollercoaster that challenges the preconceptions of Pop, just like Ruby Blue did, but in a catchier and honestly even better way.
