The 15-track Ardipithecus finds Smith going all-out, offering an expansive journey in sound and through the human condition.
Nepotism and talent aren't mutually exclusive, but behind all the psychic awakenings and blossoming chakras, something about Ardipithecus remains unbaked.
ARDIPITHECUS fails as a pop record, because it’s barely aware that it’s a part of that conversation.

I am 14 and this is deep.
WILLOW's debut is an ambitious one for such a young age but you can TELL that it's made from inexperienced hands. Not terrible, not good, it's... something all right. I don't know, so I'll just slap it with the good ole 50. No need to be mean to a first attempt. Plenty of promise is shown here, it just needs a lot more refinement and maturity.
"Natives of the Windy Forest" and "Israel" are kinda good but i disliked the rest. It's tedious, too pretentious and with obvious mistakes. I don't judge Willow for it, it was a first album and she was just a 15 year old trying to make music, but the flaws were very obvious. I'm glad she evolved and is evolving so much artistically.
