This album is just... uncomfortable to listen to. But in the absolute best possible way, just sends waves of shivers up my spine.

'Lorca' is most famous for its bizarre and lengthy title track - did Buckley go a step too far here? Well, I've learnt to appreciate 'Lorca' and the second evil twin track, the jazzy 'Anonymous Proposition', but I always felt in their strange way they dominated the album, or at least what you remember of the album.

The three other songs ARE a lot more conventional, though actually strong as ever, but the dye has been cast - you sort of expect and want 'Lorca' to all sound like the title track ... read more

What a damn interesting shift after 'Blue Afternoon'. Tim goes absolutely balls to the walls psychedelic on this thing and it made me sit there in awe. I personally think so far that this is Tim's worst work so far, just due to the fact that he took it a little too far. The perfect strike of psychedelic/experimental and normal mundane folk was 'Happy Sad' for me.
