DIY
‘Rules’ is a slightly more easy-going, less claustrophobic record, drawing a little more on Alex G’s 90s alt-rock sensibilities.

Lo fi no moreeeeee

I kinda just feel like going through Alex G’s discography so I’m gonna. I really like his catchy simplistic sound, and I find myself coming back to a lot of what I’ve heard so far. While I think that Race is better and more consistent, this album still has a lot of highs. There are just some forgettable moments that drag it down a bit. A little bit more alt rock than I was expecting from Alex G, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This really does feel like maybe it's some sort of transitional album, even if I don't really know what it's transitioning to. Not bad but definitely my least favorite album from him yet.

First off, I hate people that hate on candy, y’all are INSANE, candy is my standout on this album and it is absolutely beautiful I was genuinely crying the whole thing, and people were looking at me VERY funny in the gym. IN CONCLUSION, Candy is absolutely peak and so is this album
