Definitely a grower for sure, but don't be turned away from the bleakness of this project, go into this in the right headspace and it'll be way more enjoyable. It's Saba's personal diary, 10 somber, low-tempo tracks telling tragic stories of his life. Dealing with death, coping, loneliness, and guilt, this collection of thoughts and emotions is perfectly described and displayed through Saba's A+ storytelling, and his ability to demonstrate emotions through his voice, usually remaining calm and ... read more

How can anyone listen to this album and not be blow away by Charli's talent. The way her voice and melodies are so catchy and energetic but she seamlessly matches it to the production that is so abrasive and harsh, how everything sounds so distorted and imperfect at times yet polished and lively, even to the structures of each track, every song grows and progresses in such a fun way. The experimentalism comes so naturally here compared to her last album Charli witch felt kind of forced ... read more

The thing that sets trap albums like this DS2, Jeffery, Barter 6, Rodeo, and Die Lit apart from every Lil Baby, Gunna, Lil Yachty, and Migos album is simply consistency. Sounds lame, but it's true. So many would be solid trap albums fail from having 20-30 tracks. While having 13 well polished and high effort tracks here makes this whole album that much more enjoyable, compared to listening to 24 mediocre songs on a project like Culture ll. Every second of Monster is enjoyable and original. ... read more

I love this stage in Radioheads career. Love this style of Radiohead. The band was still young and you can hear them mature as people and musicians in this album from their pervious work. Every aspect that makes Radiohead so great from songwriting, instrumentation, complex harmonies, and Yorke's vocal performance are set up here in this album and you can hear their potential, this overall improvement from Pablo Honey was what the band needed. Radiohead finding what makes them great mixed with ... read more

Holy sh*t. I love this sound so much. I had no idea what to expect from this project, seeing its listed as neo-soul, funk, and experimental/alternative hip-hop. This album starts loud asf and in your face, making me think it was going to JPEGMAFIA or Death Grips like. Lol. But the smooth transition from this glitched out beat and chopped up vocals too the distorted yet smooth and pleasing, almost Grimes like singing at the end of this intro was so perfect, I knew this album was going to be ... read more
