I had a drawn out review of this album but decided to scrap it. What I will say is this:
Kozelek, in the span of his entire career as a solo artist and a member of red house painters/sun kil moon, has had a relatively narrow subject matter- mostly touching on instances of anger, love, and loss. Within this generally melancholic early career, Kozelek's artistry and song writing rarely gets stale, and just when I think I've had enough, he captivates me once again.
