James Blake - Bad Cameo

The best collective duo since Quincy and MJ. Can't be mad at the outcome of this album, I'm very happy with what was given to us, the mixture in style between these two creates an immaculate sound throughout the LP. The electronic, psychedelic rap sort of style is performed no less than great. Yachty's journey to this point has been outstanding to watch, he didn't let his failure in teenage emotions get the best of him. There has clearly been lots of artist influence in ... read more

They could never make me feel less about this.

SOPHIE - OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES

Rest in peace to a legend. Sophie has genuinely brought one of the most interesting and fresh sounds to the glitch pop scene. I consider this album to be an art piece and example for future artists in the industrial/glitch/hyper scene. Can't wait to hear the posthumous album.

G-Eazy - Freak Show

G-Eazy thought about, wrote, recorded, mixed/mastered AND listened back then still said yea.. this the one.

clipping. - There Existed an Addiction to Blood

The haunting theatrics played within this album are genuinely done brilliantly for the most part. (We don't talk about piano burning)

Not too much to say after listening, but this album right here is one of the few that remind me why I appreciate music as the best form of art. If you can't just sit back and get lost in the sounds then I truly feel bad for you.

Don Toliver - HARDSTONE PSYCHO
70

It's finally happened! Don Toliver has finally made a very solid project!! Don Toliver has been dominating the rap feature game since 2018's Astroworld. I've always enjoyed his contributing vocals as he exhibits superb performance time and time again. Moon from Kanye's Donda is enough of an example in itself and since then I've been excitedly waiting to see what his solo work would bring, however I wasn't too impressed when the debut released. I kept telling myself Don Toliver should stick to ... read more

Shoutout to Fantano for putting me onto this bloodpumping RAGER. How these kids managed to make a better song than anything on the radio nowadays is beyond me.

The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy

Hear ye Hear ye, I would like to proclaim my love for thy album called Prelude to Ecstasy. The fortuitous beauty in production, whimsical lyrical standpoint and unfaltered skill to make absolute pop BANGERS. Shall they doth another project, I'm persuaded it shall be showered with gratification. 8/10 ngl.

Day 15: That's the Way of the World - I have this on vinyl so I already knew what to expect. EWF is always bringing the disco energy around. Definitely a top 3 in their discography, it's quick, it's full of soul and the production is absolutely ... read more

L + Ratio + YB better🤡

Context is everything here. The backstory adds so much artistic value to this album. How these girls grandmother had a premonition on their future fame before they had even been born, then once born their father waited for the right moment in time to force instruments upon them to fullfill their grandmother's prophecy as successful musicians. When the truth was that they had no interest to play instruments at all. Yet somehow in the massacre of an album they've ... read more

(EDIT) I enjoy Von Dutch much more than I did after my first few listens, still haven't gotten into Girl, so confusing

Best electronic record of the year??? Only getting better with each listen, Soon enough I may come back and give it a perfect score ngl. Charli XCX rolls in so many club bangers and even brings in mellow emotion at some points. Super enjoyable record with it's clunky production. Heavy feelings of SOPHIE influence and I'm here for it. Speaking of Sophie I ... read more

Ski Mask the Slump God - 11th Dimension

Ski Mask has made his return with this 2nd LP titled 11th dimension. Going into the album I knew not to expect much considering this is Ski we're talking about, he's a fun artist. So I journeyed through with calm expectations and open ears only to not really feel the overall project.

It has it's inconsistent moments due to how bloated and uncoordinated it is, it took me a few listens to really warm up to certain tracks. I will say the Ski definitely delivered some goofball ... read more

"Cuz the writing is unbearably horrendous lmao. How could you possibly take her seriously? She tries so hard to create a serious atmosphere with thought provoking undertones but ends up writing some seriously goofy shit. I can drop multiple lines from almost every song that are super cringe."

"@Bandia If I don't mention a song sometimes it may mean that I don't really feel much for it therefore I don't have anything to really speak on but I can understand where you're coming from. I see the appeal, both picnic in paris and stargazing have great vocal performances I don't mind plus the atmosphere is very soothing. However they just don't stand out too much compared to the higher highs he's had on the album in my opinion but that's personal taste."
