Can't believe I'm saying this about one of my favorite bands but this is a tad bit overhyped.
BCNR has given me so much love for music after hearing their undefeated magnum opus AFUT back in 2022. Isaac Wood being a huge standout gave me and plenty others a lot to look forward to with the bands future.. until his leaving soon after. The group has since been trying to find new ways to go about shaping their sound. I've enjoyed what they had to offer not only on bush hall but also ... read more
One of the rare moments where the cover matches the atmosphere. Everything plays out smoothly and has a peaceful energy overall. Love how thought out and graceful each track is, super cohesive and the band has great synergy. I'll get into more detail soon. Some of the best drum performances to date.
Nope.. This dude is one of the worst writers I've EVER heard in my LIFE. Absolute snooze fest until Unlimited came and somewhat salvaged. Genuinely not much else to say. Nav sucks, who would've guessed.

Rolling Stones cooked with this top 500 placement. Some of the best Latin pop rock material to date.
If I see one more score below a 7 I'm causing anarchy!
Spellling aka Chrystia Cabral has been making noise for the past few years and seemed to hit a mark after dropping her 2021 record Turning Wheel. This LP pretty much shed some more light to her name garnering more fans and leaving a great impression on her as an artist. Some may even say Mazy Fly was an ear catching project as well to some degree.
Come 2025 she’s returned again with a few singles to build up excitement for a ... read more
Japanese Breakfast sounds so tasty rn.
Vivid imagery and beautiful folksy sounds to reflect on. Japanese Breakfast hands us some melancholy/drawn out tunes that take a nice and easy pace to let us take in the composition and stories that singer Michelle Zauner has to offer. I'm completely drawn to this record with it's orchestrated prowess and catchy rhythmic efforts. Not too much to say here other than as cutesy and comforting as the records here are, it's a bit monotonous ... read more
As much as I enjoy this track it does get too comfortable taking it's time and feels long winded. The instrumental climax's are sweet especially at the end but don't expand as much as I'd like them to. I'm left feeling like I needed more, the journey wasn't exactly the most thrilling. However it's still a satisfying listen that I'd return to. Happy Birthday clears in my opinion.
I'm left at a crossroad decision. The LP exudes acres of quality production that sounds exciting and full of life but sometimes I feel that the production factor alone cannot be the sole element that gives Antimai its praise. Dear Hunter's lead vocalist feels overtly zany when it comes to the writing and vocal presence. I'm not too drawn to his words or singing techniques but I will say the energy overall is substantial enough to kind of hold things together. I thought Ring 7 had ... read more
Screw it.. Album of the year.
Saba and No ID were NOT on my 2025 bingo card. The way these two coincide is heavenly, both flawlessly bouncing off of each other's contributions. Back in 2018 I remember hearing Care For Me and thinking the potential he had was just waiting to be brought to life. Come 2022 he released another LP and it didn't strike me as much as it's predecessor. Saba has the cadence, he has the writing ability but something still felt untapped. I still ... read more
Dare I say.. Their BEST project. Complete rollercoaster ride of an album.
No doubt Leon's production game is astonishing but sometimes I'm not too intrigued by the writing. Nonetheless a great project that showcases the potential Leon Thomas holds. It's only an uphill ride from here.
As much as I like to say Kanye's college trilogy is the reason my music taste is so expansive today, I just can't deal with him. Kanye has said countless hateful and derogatory things toward others, spoken disgustingly ill words of Jay Z's children and Tyler the creator, made multiple claims about being a Nazi, wants to put his daughter on a song with Sean Combs (one of the worst people around), and seems to show no remorse about any of his actions. I've never felt less care ... read more
Speed Demon is one of Michael's weakest songs, prove me wrong. Other than that I'm loving it!
I'm ashamed to admit this year is my first time finding out about Below the Heavens. What a trip, it's so rich in exotic hip hop beats with killer loops and potent sampling. So much energy behind the rapping that just makes Blu such a compelling rapper, the cadence, the flow, the west coast influence.. It's all there. I'm so obsessed with the storytelling that Blu gives us about his life whether it's having a kid prematurely and worrying about the life he struggles to ... read more
Have y'all HEARD therapy?? It's too addicting.
Is this their most accessible?
Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Snipes, and William Hutson are the genius trio behind the noise rap madness. While I don't feel Dead Channel Sky is as ambitious or more adventurous than Visions of bodies being burned, it still has well rounded highs. Each single impressed me and I knew the final product would come into fruition with no real issues.
Daveed's psychotic pen game with unhinged glitchy production makes this album just as creative and almost as ... read more
