The purest expression of triumphant anger through music ever. Non-stop face melting riffs and merciless vocals that paved the way for the rap/nu-metal phenomenon that was to come. Just bloody essential music, really.

TOP TRACKS - ALL.

TOP TRIPE - NONE.

A few worthwhile songs on here but even those lack much in the way of memorability. Not sure if it's just me but a lot of the mixing seems off? Vocal reverb on "Big Trouble Freestyle" comes to mind.

Hmm it's a shame because I was really looking forward to this release from Charli. The singles leading up to 'CRASH' were all good to great - "Beg For You" is heaps of fun and averts the risk that comes with flipping a well known anthem, please see "Used To Know Me" for an example of that risk actualising. "Good Ones"??... well, I've been in an intimate relationship with that tune since it's release. It's a BANGER, plain and simple.

The singles are highlights, ... read more

The Alchemist is a legend, that much is certain - his album run since 2018 has been a joy to watch and it's production standard ruthlessly consistent. 'Continuance' is, would you believe it, a CONTINUANCE of that stellar Daniel Alan beat streak. There's some excellent instrumentals on this - 'Whale Watching' and 'Signature Move', for example. The sliding synths on the latter are soooo good, and his sample manipulation is as admirable as ever.

But even the best of Maman's work can't get ... read more

Welp. What else is there to really say other than, this is F****** (am I allowed to swear on here or what!??!???) INCREDIBLE. BC,NR have put together an hour of some of the most moving music I've ever had the pleasure of hearing.

On the surface the track lengths are daunting but every single moment of these 5+ minute tunes is utterly essential. The sadness baggage AFUT brings has been well noted, and it's a legitimate observation. Isaac's lyrical content and delivery on this is often gut ... read more
