Scrims best production to date. Every beat is so infectious in its own way. The songs on here while short, are no longer than they need to be, and add enough to the album to be included. Songs like "The Thin Grey Line", "Misery in Waking Hours", and "Drag 'Em to the River" have some of the boys best flows and cadences, and on the other side, "Transgressions", "Are You Going to See the Rose in the Vase, or the Dust on the Table?", and ... read more
All of the influence can be heard for this album, and its crafted into their own style that's so perfect. I'm loving this new era of alt-metal.
Consistently good throughout and with a few standalone tracks that are mind-blowing journeys, Wolf Alice has their sophomore album as one of the best Indie Rock records in the 2010's.
Its much angstier than their past works, but it still bangs. Hayley will never fail to bring some of my favorite vocal performances in pop-punk as a whole.
This is so amazing in the oddest way. An incredible atmosphere, combined with whiny vocals. It feels like anyone could like this, but also obscure at the same time. All in all, it works. "Feeling Yourself Disintegrate" might genuinely be one of the best songs I've heard, and the beginning 3 track run is flawless.
The good songs on this album are REALLY REALLY good. But the worst songs are nearly unbearable, and Alanis could not find the balance on this album. It’s a hot mess of fantastic songwriting on one end, and the most average & uninspired “wine mom” rock on the other. Fortunately, the good outweighed the bad in the long run.
Rating this higher than Exmilitary will definitely get me crucified, but my opinion is my opinion.
This has some of Death Grips best production to date. Despite their low ratings, "Government Plates" and "Bootleg (Don't Need Your Help)" are great songs in my opinion, and "Anne Bonny" is one of my favorite Death Grips songs in their catalog as a whole (as far as I have discovered it to this point). Eager to get to the next project from MC Ride & co.

Simple, yet enjoyable rap music. It has its duds obviously, I think "Fried (She a Vibe)" is boring and repetitive, but songs like "Type Shit" and "Ain't No Love" are what I wanna hear from Future. Metro brings great production throughout the whole album, which is typical for him, and the features compliment their respective songs as well, even if Ross's verse on "Everyday Hustle" was underwhelming. Overall, not bad.
If there was any album I'd use to introduce everyone to music as a whole, it'd be this album.
Key word throughout this entire album: Atmosphere. The atmosphere of this album is impossible to replicate. Only Gilmour & Waters could have accomplished this.
feeling #emo </3
Nah but I don't care what you say. This shit has some bangers. I personally LOVE Kellin Quinn's Vocals, they capture a lot of emotion & that slight eerie-ness that emo music thrives off of.
Three things inevitable in life: Death, Taxes, and BLYSS having controversial scores on Candy Claws.
Two Airships got boring about halfway into the song. Exploder Falls was atleast a little more forward thinking, but again I left not holding onto much. It just sounds like you took a camel crusher and distorted the fuck out of a Nintendo 64 game’s soundtrack.
Björk continues to stun me. The atmospheric production & euphoric vocals that made “Vespertine” such a masterpiece is also present in this earlier work, but with more electronic elements added to it, creating another unique adventure in Björks discography. Incredible. A master of her craft.

Its hard to ignore how angsty & corny the vocals sound, but its also filled with a lot of emotion that properly supports the subject matter of the album. Combine the aforementioned vocals with Neutral Milk Hotel inspired instrumentation, its a hell of a record. Speaking of the instrumentation, I can't get tired of it at all. Each song sounds similar but different at the same time, and that is a key beauty of many good albums. All in all, "Just Got Back ... read more
This is not $crim at his best, and you can tell. Aside from the bloated track list, a lot of it is just rinsed & repeated ideas. I still vibe heavily to it as background music, but this is nothing special when it comes to his past solo work & his works as 1/2 of $uicideboy$.
This album really has me stumped. Its so unique & beautiful in a way I can’t really understand or grab onto. I can’t really paint a picture or visualize this album, and that is whats really bothering me. I absolutely love the album & the sounds, and it may become a 100 when it truly clicks with me, but until then I need to dig a lot deeper.
Wait, you mean to tell me this band that made a couple early 2010’s radio classics, made an album I am listening to in 2024, and its actually really fucking good???
Jokes aside, this thing is phenomenal. A well-rounded tracklist, instrumentation that kept me intrigued, beautiful songwriting, and Hayley Williams puts on one hell of a vocal performance. Fantastic.
Will Toledo & co. do it yet again. “I Want You to Know That I’m Awake/I Hope That You’re Asleep” may very well be my favorite Car Seat Headrest song ever, an absolute masterpiece in production and phenomenal tear-jerking storytelling. The rest of the album may not reach such a peak, but it remains consistent.
