This is just very cookie cutter & average sounding pop punk, complimented by some cringe-worthy lyrics here and there. Some of it isn't bad though, the first 2 tracks I was ok with, and "RITUAL" is genuinely a banger. Overall though, there's nothing special about this album.
While its not on the masterfully crafted artistic level of “I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You”, “SCRAPYARD” still shows the sky is the limit for Quadeca. Some of the tracks on this, such as “WHAT’S IT TO HIM?” and “GUESS WHO?” are Quadeca at his peak, and potentially some of his best work overall. An extremely sufficient collection of tracks from one of modern music’s biggest turnarounds.

My favorite work from Yeat so far. Production is absolutely incredible, "Breathe" and "Bought The Earth" are two of his best works overall, and he executes the desired atmosphere to expectation. Past gripes of Yeat's previous works appear with a bloated tracklist containing some filler, and some songs carry on longer than needed. Either way, I absolutely love the direction Yeat is going in when it comes to more psychedelic rap music.
(ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2/13/24: 85):
A thoroughly enjoyable and elegant album, great storytelling and euphoric high moments. It does fall victim to sounding a bit one-note, but if you can consistently make a good song using the same sound, nobody will complain.
(EDIT: 85 -> 95)
The sound of this album is so infectious. I feel like I'm at the peak of the Appalachians listening to this album. Its so grand & euphoric in the right ways, I forget about the one-note aspects of the album, it ... read more
Jesus Christ, how does a Kanye album have so much filler?? Boring as shit, Ye & Ty$ have very little chemistry, and on the good songs the features carry. Just so you don't waste your time, "Burn", "Fuk Sumn", and "Carnival" are the only songs really worth checking out. Also, "Hoodrat" is probably one of the worst Kanye songs I've heard.
My comfort album. Its fuzzy, soothing, heartbreaking, and beautiful all in one. From countless nights of depression, self-sabotage, and being miserable, it holds up as one of my favorites ever.
If the rest of the album was like the first third of the track list, this album would have a much higher score. This has some of my favorite 21 songs to date, but the Young Thug collab was disappointing, the ladder half has some filler tracks, and overall the low points really bring this album down from its very high potential.
These guys spit bars inconceivable to the average human mind. Its a strength and a slight weakness for the album. Alchemist never disappoints production-wise. An enjoyable listen overall.
Entrancing & Romantic. Whirr’s opus of modern shoegaze is one of the best of the genres era.
Guys I'm becoming a Death Grips enjoyer help oh god oh fuck.
Hot Take: "No Love" is the worst song on this album. It's still good though, but the 2 songs before it & the song after it are much better.
(EDIT 4 months later: 95 -> 90)
"No Love" grew on me, I can't say the same for the rest of the album. There's still songs that are incredible on here, some of DG's best.
A shorter & slightly easier to digest version of “Deathconsciousness”. This album explores the deepest darkest depths of depression and suicidal thoughts, it truly strikes a vulnerable place in my heart. Phenomenal.
You can pinpoint each inspiration Narrow Head takes for their music within this album. They shine brightest in the ladder half of the album, starting with the masterpiece "Nodding Off". "12th House Rock" is a one of the best albums to release during this revival of nu-metal/shoegaze.
Oh my god, that pretty mothafucka never misses.
A$AP Rocky is up there with Denzel Curry with having one of the most consistently enjoyable discographies in rap. Not the best discographies by any means, but they are both consistently good. Songs like "Fine Wine" and "L$D" with floaty reverbed instrumentals ended up being near my favorite tracks of the album, where others might not have favored them as much. I personally enjoy the sensation they evoke, but it just goes to ... read more
Exmilitary works as a good intro of what's to come for the rest of Death Grips discography. It is by no means their most complete & seen through project, but for a debut mixtape, its hard to be better than what MC Ride & co. have done here.

This is gonna be the new era of Trap, and possibly EDM in general. ISOxo is sparking a fire with this record.
One of my favorite & underrated indie rock artists is back at it 5 years after their near-flawless LP, "Cold Blood Magic".
This album is just as good. Super vibey & dreamy. Love having some new material from them to listen to, as their previous works were on repeat for a long time way back.
I normally never review EP's on here. I go to an album review website, I review albums. It is what it is. But this one hits a core within me. It is a true shame that we won't get to see how he further develops his sound or improves as a songwriter & producer. But he did leave us with a small but incredible collection of songs on this EP. A cozy and heartbreaking EP from a young talent taken away from us too soon. One of the best projects of 2023.
[ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM SEPTEMBER 2023: 90]
A$AP mob is just odd future for guys who can talk to women.
On a serious note, this is some of the best production on a rap album I've heard. And this is 2011! Peso is already up the ranks as one of my favorite instrumentals ever. Rocky flows very well in every song. An incredible showing of potential in a debut tape.

I mean, its pretty good? I dont know, it definitely wasn’t bad at all, it just feels very one-note. Other than some tropical sounds here and there, not a whole lot of variety. Don’t get me wrong, its a relaxing album & dreamy, as all shoegaze should be, but this one isn’t hitting as hard for me.
(EDIT: 75 -> 80)
