Overrated, but it grew on me a bit
Damn it, this thing keeps growing on me (60 ‐> 70 ‐> 85)
Maroon 5 proceeded to drop decades of shit music for the rest of their careers
You have to listen to the album front to back, entirely uninterrupted to truly fathom the mastery of this album
Hasn't aged well ngl, but I still fw it
Edit: (85 to 95) Nvm this album is legendary, some of the best produced music ever, even if this album was purely instrumental, it would still be an absolutely insane listen

""It needs to have direction, and it needs to have cohesion", this was the point where I understood that the reason you listen to music and how you interact with it is just entirely different than the way I listen to music, there are very, VERY few songs which has me thinking "huh, this song is pretty cohesive and has good direction", most of the songs I listen to regularly are songs that just sound good and are entertaining to listen to, and not to be a dick but saying "this album has no purpose" is dumb, it has no purpose TO YOU, it's entirely up to the listener whether or not an album has purpose, some ppl find purpose in a lot of albums that I don't and that's just fine, clearly you didn't like this album but that's merely your opinion"
