There’s a lot to like about this song: it creates a fantastic atmosphere, it’s beautiful, and it has some great sounds and musical passages. The bells and piano that come in around the halfway point and the background noise recording that is mixed in are nice additions as well. The problem is that while it is very nice, I don’t think the 8 minute runtime works and I think the song could be shorter and achieve the same thing. But as an introduction to Amazing Blizzard’s ... read more
I’m a biased FKA Twigs stan, but I think this is really good. The instrumental could be a little more adventurous, and I think the song isn’t as developed as it could be, but I really like Twigs’ performance and I thought Headie One’s verse was actually pretty good. It’s not anywhere near Twigs’ best stuff, but it’s still well done and sounds great.
The fact that the song from that viral tweet parodying what a Phoebe Bridgers song about getting vaccinated would sound like is now a full song is already amazing...but the fact that the song is actually really good makes it that much better lmao.
I like the more introspective direction, and I think his singing is pretty decent, but the song feels like it's missing something. The production isn't as interesting as I think it could be, and the song gets a little boring as it goes on. But definitely one of Wayne's better songs recently.
Outside of Kodak's actions, I've never really enjoyed his music, even if he has had a few good singles. But I especially don't like melodic/singing Kodak, and while this isn't the worst song I've heard from him, it's still not very good and is a good example of why I don't like Kodak in general, but especially when he is singing.
I really liked Northbest, and I thought Blueberry Faygo was a great song, but his last album was not really interesting to me. But this is another example of what Mosey can excel at: an insanely catchy hook over a melodic trap beat with some personality. This is a really solid cut that I can see becoming a hit and has me excited for his next project.
This one hurts. I didn’t think it was possible to ruin this song but I have been proven wrong.
I've always thought Desiigner had some talent and good post-Panda singles. And this is another example of that.
Amen is a true banger that showcases Desiigner's talent and good beat selection. The beat is fire and Desiigner flows really nicely over it and brings a nice presence. It's not like the best thing I've ever heard, but its a really quality single that I hope can help revive his career.
Why is the album cover cropped like that with the white on the borders? And why is Ok one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard? And did this man really say “retard-y”?? AND HE DIDNT EVEN RHYME IT WITH A REAL WORD, HE RHYMED IT WITH “Swerving in the Car-y”. Like you shouldn’t be saying the r word anyway but then you somehow made it WORSE.
Lil Skies brings no presence to this album. His vocals don’t sound particularly good in general and they aren’t ... read more
This is the most fun I’ve had listening to an album in a while. FUCK SHARON
I’m not a Logic fan. I’ve liked some things here and there, found his album concepts intriguing, and always thought he had talent, but I usually found him pretty corny. I thought No Pressure was a nice send off even if it wasn’t my favorite Logic release though. And I definitely wasn’t looking for new Logic. So while it technically IS Logic here, it isn’t...ya know...Logic. And ... read more
Yeah Billie Eilish singing in Spanish with Rosalia is absolutely beautiful and I love it. The production was great and the autotune parts were cool too. The hook could probably be a little better, but for the most part I love this.
I’m not a KSI fan, and I fully went into this expecting to hate it, but surprisingly I don’t. The beat is solid, the hook is catchy, and KSI doesn’t ruin the track. It’s corny af, but pretty enjoyable.
I saw Apple Music pushing this and got excited, and while it’s a solid pop song, it doesn’t wow me like I was hoping it would
This song is beautiful and having it be a one take voice memo was brilliant
Today I have found Jensen McRae's music and now Joy Oladukun and it has been a very good day.
I see why Nobody Is Listening now...
This is the album you get when a label is desperate for some generic and forgettable R&B in the style of a Chris Brown to push onto radio and fill up Spotify playlists. Add in that it’s from a guy who was in a famous band once and apparently still has somewhat of a following that will eat up whatever he puts out and then you’re all set. That’s the formula.
I mean, if you weren’t told this album was ZAYN and you heard it, could ... read more
Clitoris! the Musical is the song title of the year so far lol
I had seen Ashnikko’s name, but never heard any of her music going into this. So when the first few songs on this album were fantastic I was intrigued.
But while the first few songs are all bangers, and while I do like the rest of the album, it rarely matches the level of the start of the album. Nevertheless, Ashnikko brings an insane presence with energy and a sense of humor to some quirky and catchy instrumentals. The ... read more
