Lil Mosey is somebody who I think can deliver with some good songs. I like his melodic trap style, his voice, and his catchy flows. Going into this album, I was a little concerned that he might not be able to come through with a full project of catchy melodic trap tracks. To my surpise, I actually really enjoy this album.
I really like the sample on "Kamikaze". The beat is really good and I like Lil Mosey on the song. he comes through with a catchy hook and his melodic flows sound ... read more
I love Pierre’s production style because it's super simple but super catchy. He’s the main reason why I can enjoy Playboi Carti. Going into this project, I was intrigued. I’d never really heard him as a rapper, but I knew I loved his production. I was hoping to get a decent project with great production and decent enough rapping from Pierre.
The beat for “Poof” is really catchy. I love the lead melody in the background. I also love the switch up at the end. He ... read more
DaBaby has a lot of energy and has come through with some great bangers. I had liked some of his songs in the past but hadn't enjoyed a whole project. I was coming into this anticipating something filled with bangers.
"Taking It Out" has an ok beat but DaBaby does a good job with it, he delivers a great hook and has a lot of personality and energy. "Suge" is one of my favorite songs of 2019. I love the catchy beat and the hook is so catchy. Such a good song. "Goin ... read more
Polo G is somebody who I was anticipating a project from. I actually liked some of his singles so I was intrigued by where he could take an entire project. I thought he had potential and was hoping he would capitalize on it. Also, the Pitchfork review had me extremely excited. But unfortunately, he kinda blends into the background for this album.
I’m not crazy about the beat on the opening track “Lost Files”. It sounds very poorly mixed. Polo is ok on the track, although he ... read more
Future has always been someone I can listen to without thinking much about it. Going into this project, I was hoping to have some fire tracks from Future. Then I saw the EP was listed under R&B and got worried. And wow was I right to be worried.
The first track “Xanax Damage” is a blend of R&B and Hip Hop and it doesn’t really work, like the weird things he’s doing with his voice. The beat is decent and it’s not a bad track, but it’s not that good ... read more
After DS2 and WATTBA, it seemed like Future could do no wrong. This album could make him have a stretch of three straight awesome projects. While I like it, it’s not on the level of his previous 2
“Ain’t No Time” is a good song with a nice beat and Future does well on the track. “In Her Mouth” is a decent song. Not great but it’s pretty good. I really like the beat on “Maybach” and Future delivers a catchy hook. “Xanny Family” ... read more
Future isn’t the most adventurous artist, but when he’s locked in he can make some great trap music. DS2 is one of those instances.
“Thought It Was A Drought” has a nice beat and Future does a good job with it. “I Serve The Base” has a dark trap beat and Future does a decent job with it. “Where Ya At” is a great song, I love the beat and both Future and Drake do a good job with it. “Groupies” and “Lil One” both have nice ... read more
Coming into this project, I couldn’t really say I was excited. Logic has potential and has made some good songs and projects, but is ridiculously inconsistent. I was hoping this would at least be tolerable. Unfortunately, this is completely terrible.
“Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” is a decent track. I really like the beat and I enjoyed Logic’s verses until complaining about people on Twitter bullying him. He ruined the song for me. “Homicide” is ... read more
Pusha T’s Daytona was the first album to come out of that Kanye 7 Track Album Group. Having Pusha T on a short, Kanye produced album was intriguing. And I was right to think that.
“If You Know You Know” is an amazing Track with a great beat and Pusha’s flow and bars on this track is outstanding. He sounds great and has a nice presence on the track. “The Games We Play” is another highlight. The sample is great and the beat is overall really good. Pusha does ... read more
Going into this project, I didn’t really know what to expect. I’d heard it was good from other people, but the songs being one minute concerned me. But the songs being one minute are actually one of the reasons why this project is so great.
Black Nails is a nice smooth intro track. I love the piano in the beat and the vocal melody she uses on the track is nice. The track displays a lot of creativity and personality as well. Bugs Life is another good track. I love the low-key ... read more
I loved TA13OO, and it ended up being one of my favorite albums of 2018. Going into this project, I wasn't expecting another TA13OO or even another concept. I was expecting a short, fun listen filled with bangers that you could play all summer. And that's basically what we got.
The opening track ZUU is a banger. The beat is flames and Denzel gives a great performance. Ricky has been one of my favorite songs of 2019 ever since it came out as a single. The beat is crazy, and the song is so ... read more
DJ Khaled has always had some ok singles, but his albums are bloated and filled with boring and unnecessary songs. is Father of Asahd any different? Well, as DJ Khaled would say, Another One.
Wish Wish is a generic Tay Keith beat that I feel like like I've heard 9,000 times before. The song isn't bad at all, it's actually pretty listenable, but it's nothing new. Cardi B and 21 Savage are forgettable on the song, but I get why people like it. Jealous is a forgettable song that DJ Khaled has ... read more
While I don't think this album is executed as well as it could, its an album filled with personality and creativity. Ritchie With a T and Stepa J. Groggs are amazing on the album and Parker Corey's production is unusual but really good.
Koruna & Lime is a really good intro. I really like the beat and they flow well on the beat. I also like the odd beat on Jawbreaker. I like the theme and I think Rico Nasty fits well on the track. GTFU was a little disappointing because I think it had a lot ... read more
With each release, Tabby gets better and better. While I enjoyed Peachfuzz, I was hoping his next release would show some improvements. And Recorded In My Car does just that.
This EP shows major improvements. He sounds much more confident and professional. He is rapping with a purpose, and the flows on this album are really well executed. While he has always had some nice bars, they stand out even more on this album. Also, Dylan (or OLSC)'s production is absolutely incredible on this album. ... read more
