The album opens with a soft chorale of moving ambience, and what seems to be the distant calls of whales. It sets the tone for the album, one that is melancholic, before swiftly moving into chaos.

By my mistake, the volume on my headphones was a little too loud and I blew my eardrums out immediately, and now I am unable to listen to music. pretty good
Converge follows up Jane Doe with a sludgey spin on their sound. While I think it's executed well, it doesn't have as much of an effect as Jane Doe, although it might be unfair to compare them. Still very good.
While the drum and bass and breakcore elements are toned down here, fromjoy manages to create an album that is both beautiful and crushing.
