4/11: Mom and ????? Album
My mom loves Bruce but this also fits the category of the other thing I am doing. With that being said, this album is a CLASSIC like holy shit the title track? JUNGLELAND? shit is immaculate
3/11: ????? Album
It's good, but it isn't really great. Not super memorable or outstanding, but goddamn is it emotional. Maybe I should relisten though... hmm...
2/11: ????? album
Pretty great album, and I had some not so high expectations. The overall sound is just grand and mighty, I love it man. Title track is legendary, and it is very good overall.
Okay! Been gone for a few days, a lot to catch up on. Over the long weekend (bc of Teacher Convention) my mom and I traveled from NJ to North Carolina for a college visit. During this trip, we listened to a total of 11 albums. I had never heard any, and my mom had heard some of them.
Albums were chose because of my interest, my mother's taste, or a project I am working on independently (which I will explain with my last album of this bunch So for the next 11 albums, I will note whether it is a ... read more
DAMN this shit is so hard. Asked my dad for his fav album of all time and this was one of his 2 picks, along with Men at Work's debut.
Pretty good, only a few blank spots
i don't have anything funny to say but why is every other line in this album "my henny taste like ____"
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant might have been one of the most jaw-dropping impressive first listens I've had in a while. Pure Boomer-core and I love it. Vienna and She's Always A Woman fall a bit flat but other than that it is just immaculate and near perfect.
Mamma Mia
It's like a Love Supreme meets Latin Jazz and I really really like it. I can definitely see this growing on me too
EDIT: 81->84->88
I enjoy this more than Spilligion but there's something off. JID has much more to offer, as well as everyone else in Spillage Village. I will say that the first song is fucking incredible
JUST GOT SOME TOP
FROM THIS STRIPPER BITCH
SHE FROM KANKAKEE
So this mixtape is pretty good but there are some flaws and mid songs. However, I enjoy it overall. RIP King Von but damn he really is killer turned rapper
Def want to hear more LUCKI and I think this will grow on me
2 of You is so HARD omg bruh
EDIT: 61->72->76 I was tweaking
Not as great as the original but still an incredible album
An improvement on the original. 1989 is already a great album and the re-recording is great. New vault tracks are good, but not like incredible. Shake it off sounds uncanny though.
EDIT: 86->81
Absolute fucking CLASSIC
When Low Rider is one of the worst on the album, that's how you know you have a good album
I don't know what some of these reviews are talking about. Besides a few misses, this thing is AWESOME. Literally only 3 songs aren't liked on Spotify for me. Also a review from one of the like aoty gods calls Country Cousins a miss...
WHAT???? it's like top 3 on the album man
anyways great album
EDIT: 89->84
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Japan still goes hard I won't lie though. The rest of this almost mostly sucks tho!
Danny Brown rapping on the Crash Bandicoot theme is π₯

Ok so I've heard one other Wayne album (Carter III) and I enjoyed that. Little overrated but still good. I know next to nothing else about Wayne's music besides features, Mona Lisa, 6 Foot 7 Foot, and small things from Rebirth.
