a late listen, can't believe this escaped me for much of this year. BUT...Absolutely FANTASTIC LP. One of the most endearing albums of 2018, and one of the most fun. Her voice is simply mesmerizing, and the instrumentation is super fun and well thought out. (I personally enjoy these shorter albums)
just basic pop music, really. And fuck the fact that this is 27 songs; what a hour an a half wasted on this. Let Me was the most interesting song until Imprint, and that basic pattern of sustainable enjoyment followed by washed out pop music, with a soft vocal filter, for an hour is just a bit too 2018 for me. I do wonder if the name has anything to do with 1D being similar to Icarus' father in mythology. Probably not, but hey, at least that made me think.
big shouts to earl for this shit. it's exactly the type of rap I want to see from this man! Reminds me of milo, in the best ways possible, including that opening sample lmao. big love to this album.
what a wild experence this was. fucking solid. amazing writing, and the tinge of humor lingers and adds to the poignancy of the words.
it feels like im back in elementary school, man. maybe i'm just a baby but, its crazy feeling hype for a wayne album. feels better than any of his releases in the past 3 years. good job wayne. thank u
