Definitely the most underrated Aes album in my opinion, despite it having his most popular song. To be completely honest, I think this is his best produced album. Not to take away from the stellar production of all of his album, but here it's so refined. The run from The Harbour Is Yours down to Coffee is genuinely masterful work, all of those songs are basically perfect lyrically and production wise. I think that aside from tracks 4-7 all other tracks on this are basically flawless. THE ... read more
It's not even funny how much this grows on you. The more I listen to the this the more I enjoy it. This is easily the strongest and most consistent Griselda release ever imo (aside from Kiss the Ring) and is by far Gunn's best effort. Ever beat is stellar, ever feature placement is amazing, and the flow of the album is ELITE. This would be an easy 10, if not for Richies, which is the only track on here that I would call weak. Otherwise, this is #peak
Wraith-Ful is boring and 30 Shells has a horrendous feature, but otherwise this is another solid Conway album. A really quick listen filled with amazing beats and rapping, and one of my favourite Griselda posse cuts (Beloved). Good shit
After Nemo (bottom 3 on this project lol), this album is a nonstop barrage of Peggy's best tracks and craziest production. Definitely his best record
Fire, took a bit to really click for me but this is easily one of the most consistently great Gunn records I've heard
Near flawless record, if not for Losing My Way being a bit weaker than every other song this would be an easy 10. Outstanding
One of the most consistent Griselda listens I've had, really great stuff
Listening to the AOTY Top 100: Grace
Incredible album, but I thought I would love this more. Ever since I heard Lover, You Should've Come Over I've been dying to listen to the entire album. So, while this is a very excellent project, the only other two standouts for me were Grace and Dream Brother. Not to say that the album falls short in any aspect, it's just that those 3 songs kinda blow everything else out of the water lol
With all that being said, the vocals are genuinely unreal. Jeff's ... read more
Simple in concept but absolutely perfect in execution. Probably my favourite rnb album ever, or at the very least the one I've replayed the most
Actually incredible. Incredible production, incredible rapping and incredible lyrics. The hooks on this are absolutely amazing, the flows are stunning, and the album length is PERFECT, 10 near flawless hiphop tracks with 4 beautiful orchestral pieces to close it out, all in less than 40 minutes. Wouldn't be surprised if this grows on me more at all
The more I listen to this, the more I really appreciate just how amazing this album sounds. It has such a familiar yet distinct sound and I can't get enough of it. The run from Benadryl Submarine to Styrofoam is absolutely amazing and Headboard is easily top 3 LUM, really wish there were more shoegaze-y tracks on this thing. This MIGHT be the greatest left turn in musical history
I love Stove's voice, it brings so much to every song, especially with his more melodic delivery. Loved this album, but his features on 10 are still better than any song on this lowkey. Can't wait for his next album
Listening to the AOTY Top 100: Kind of Blue
At this point I may have to accept that I'll never be a jazz enthusiast, and that's ok. This album is a very pleasing listen and I definitely enjoyed what I was hearing, BUT, it kinda just stays as background noise for me. Cool album, but I don't have too much to say aside from the fact that it's just a nice album to listen to.
tldr: more like kind of poo hahahahaahahahaha
Features on this are genuinely incredible, especially Stove God Cooks, every verse he has is the best for that respective song. Amazing production too, Switches on Everything's beat is heavenly. Peak Gunn (the only other Gunn album i've heard is Flygod)
