Un ironic banger

I expected this to have a much better rating, but this site is never predictable, which I guess is more a good thing.

This is really good for a debut EP. Everything from the baselines, to the Ratchet and Clank esque influence culminates into something very noteworthy. I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Ah, some good old trophy eyes. Their music always cheers me up, no matter how down I might be feeling.

Awake is in a weird spot for me. While a lot of my enjoyment comes from nostalgia, it's still an undeniably well made album, and in my opinion, made Illenium sound like Illenium.

This feels a LOT more inspired than their previous album, Lifelines.

This album is so mediocre compared to their second album that it's almost laughable. Sure, it's heavy enough, but every song sounds the same. It's not... Bad? But it's definitely not good.

Charlise, you're cool, but It's really hard to agree with you when Teardrops and Obey are on here

Better than a Monstercat comp

With Illenium being one of the only EDM artists I bother listening to currently, this is simultaneously disappointing, but expected. That's not to say that it isn't good, because it is. But a year ago I was waiting intently for an announcement from Illenium, a hint, anything. But this just doesn't live up to what me a year ago would expect. But me from today? Part of me loves this album, but the other part doesn't know what to think about it. I absolutely love the more laid back songs like Track X, but other aspects of it are more negative for me. While I like experimentation, the occasions that everything starts falling apart rubbed me the wrong way. But on the other hand I understand the purpose (or at least I think I am) of those parts.
