nice lo-fi type sound but good LORD is it just so generic. Each song sounds very similar and none really seem to do anything different. the songs are pleasant so I can't "hate" the album but I just don't really get much out of it
Very interesting and obviously suprising product from Lil Yachty. I'm not entirely sure how much of the album's quality can be attributed to Lil Yachty, and how much was done by the creatives he hired. While I'm sure he contributed plenty creatively to the project, but given his previous work its hard not to see this album as Yachty fronting a project largely a product of his producers

Edit: One midnight walk listening to Blonde and it aaaaaall makes sense
I've yet to fully click with Blonde on a deeper, emotional level but even still: it's an incredibly well produced and performed RnB record. There's a very good chance my score will increase once I have invest the necessary time into the album
The absolute definition of generic, wallpaper rap. nothing is inherently awful or offensive about Sideline Story, but absolutely nothing really stands out to me about it. Cole's rapping isn't super impressive but its not terrible at all. Beats are pretty generic, and even the singles mostly sort of just fly under my radar. Having said all that, It's inoffensive enough that I can't really rate it too much lower
Almost everything about this album is just chefs kiss perfect. The singing AND rapping are both amazing by themselves and interchanged seamlessly. The touching lyrics! The overarching theme of love! The fact that she never released a proper album after this is a crime
atmospheric and hugely influential to a whole genre. Sounds like it was recorded inside of a microwave, but that just adds to the vibes
An absolute BLAST to listen to. You can just feel the joy and passion oozing off of every single part of this album. I don't think it's physically possible to be sad listening to this
Some pretty cool experimental sounds on here, but I found the gimmick to wear a little thin pretty quick, and I wish the ideas were just elevated a bit more
Edit: 76--> 84
Edit: Actual banger-after-banger fest with so many iconic songs like "caught in the middle" and "Idle Worship" that I'm actually surprised aren't as streamed due to how culturally pervasive they seem (or maybe it's just because I grew up with a Paramore-obsessed sister)
really really fun pop-punk with some pretty heavy emphasis on "pop"
Some absolute CLASSICS on here that have this real sense of passion that really resonated with me when I listened
amazing, ethereal, and hauntingly sad pop with some really great vocals
Edit: It really just gets better and better. Genuinely enveloping. From the second it starts to the second it ends, Titanic Rising never lets up and never stops transcending realms of space and time to kick me in my nuts (metaphorically)
I didn't quite enjoy it as much as 2, but it's still doing all the right things RTJ has been doing
Really just Run the Jewels but better in every way. The beats are still absolutely fire, and I found the rapping to not only be better this time around, but it tended to actually... say something instead of words to have words
Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Run the Jewels. Pure banger from song to song with awesome production and some fitting duo-rapping
