If peace was an album it could be Off The Wall. It got a perfect mix of fun upbeat songs and some more serious and sad songs like She’s out my life. I remember so many of these songs from my childhood that I never knew was Mj, I always thought Pharrell made Don’t stop til you get enough.
I really don’t get the hate on Fakemink, bro is definitely not an industry plant. You can feel the influence from the early 2010s american cloud rap on London's Saviour with distorted vocals and Imogen Heap samples.
Don’t get diseased by the cover or the title, my dad put me on a couple weeks ago, when they opened up for Kneecap. The album’s instrumentals were very simple and even though they are Dublin you can understand every lyric.
I remember first time a heard Darkie back in 2022 with holocaust, I would never imagines him making a neo-soul album. I feel like it’s hard pinpoint the genre, every song has a different genre, some song sound like metal, some indie pop. Rip Darkie’s granddad.
Man, 90’s rnb was something different. Sade’s beautiful voice blends great with the simple production.
Imperial is a the gateway between the SoundCloud Denzel and the newer Denzel. The album has a great blend of cloud rap, hardcore hip-hop and conscious hip-hop. I can’t believe I first listen to it now.
I'm so happy that Cole re-released his mixtapes. The Come Up is very the whole story started. You can here a lot of his inspiration of Kanye and Hov. It's not Cole best work but it's still pretty good.
Rip Donda West. Donda could and should have been the last Kanye album. I like the gospel influence a lot and most of the features are very good. I Just feel like Donda is a bit bloated, like it doesn't need to be two hours long. If you just cut the part 2s (Not Jesus Lord pt 2), Tell the vision and Ok ok it could be 9 out 10.
Whole Lotta Red is one of the most influential album in the past ten years. Without WLR we would never had artist like Yeat, Ken Carson, Osama Son, etc. The album starts of great with great features from Kanye, Cudi and Future, but the lack of substance on second half of the album some of the get very forgettable.
Damn I love the scouse accent. I had heard about EsDeeKid a couple month ago, but first really sad down to listen to him today. I wish I heard his music earlier. He blends like the underground rage style with a lot different sounds. the length is perfect at 20 minutes. he production is also peak too, like just listen to the synth on 4 Raws.
Carti really perfected his style on Die Lit. It has some of the fun energy from his self titled album on song like Shoota and still has more serious track like Long Time. The album is the perfect length at about a hour and the feature really don't miss. I could have survived without No time with Gunna, but it didn't ruin the album.
CLB is definitely over hated as fuck. It's starts of really strong but after that some time drake just throws a lot of filler and way to many unneeded features, like why is Project Pat and Kid Cudi featured. But if they cut the track list in half It could be a 8 out 10.
Carti's Self titled is so fun. I just love the fun energy and the adlibs gets me every time. The cloudy producing is fire too on songs like Location and wokeuplikethis. It has flaws but it's really a work of its time.
Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho is pretty good, but kinda forgettable. The album starts out strong with Modern Slavery and Black & Chinese, but slowly falls downhill. the features are also good but nothing crazy. It's just kinda sad how much better album could have been
To be honest I don't get the hate. For All The Dogs kinda feels like a playlist. It's feature a lot the biggest artist from that year, Like Yeat, Teezo and Bad Bunny, so some of the songs just feels like a copy of some bigger song from the feature artist. Some of the songs you kinda forget Drake is apart of Rich Baby Daddy or Gently.
