When I listened to this country pop single for the first time, I didn't expect Chappell Roan to absolutely NAIL it with great production, instrumentation, and an incredibly fun chorus
While not a distinct track for Chappell Roan when compared to her other synthpop songs, it still is a very solid track with a really nice vocal performance
Honestly a little underwhelmed with this Dying Wish single. I think it’s still enjoyable, but for the band this song is pretty tame in terms of both performances and writing.
Maybe it will work better in the context of the album, but I don’t think this single works that well as it ends too quickly before one can really get into it
People thinking that this generic alt metal song belongs to the deathcore genre hurts me a little I can’t lie
If “contemporary Christian alt metal” was a thing, this is probably what it would sound like
Knocked Loose's debut EP, "Pop Culture," features riffs and breakdowns that go harder than the entire discography of most bands. In my opinion, the EP could've used more variety, but the runtime of 12 minutes prevents that from being a major issue.
I respect Daft Punk for taking a different, more menacing direction on “Human After All” compared to their previous works. This album did have some great tracks and has its unique experimentation moments, but I feel that they didn’t really quite succeed at making most of the songs on the record sound dark and instead sound more oversimplified and unfinished. Especially when you compare this album to the duo’s previous masterpiece of an LP, “Discovery,” where ... read more
Back when “choke enough” was originally released, I was really excited to listen to it since I was in the mood for ambient pop music and it was a brand new release. Sadly, I didn’t really end up enjoying this album.
The main reason why it took me so long to write a review for this album is that it’s a pretty ‘nothing’ of an album and one of the most boring albums I've listened to this year. A lot of the vocal performances on here are forgettable. The ... read more
Still one of my favorite tracks off of "Hurry Up Tomorrow." The production is stellar, the beat goes hard, and the Brazilian Funk influences on here bring out something fresh from The Weeknd.
This just sounds like a Silent Planet song off of their “SUPERBLOOM” album, like an exact copy. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some prank where Fit For A King got Silent Planet to record and perform this song for them.
A lot of tracks off of "Hornet Disaster" to me followed a lot of similar formulas. If a portion of the songs were removed it would've caused less drag and added a lot more replay value to the album. With that being said, really emotional lyrics coupled with passionate vocal deliveries can be found on here, so diehard fans of emo and lo-fi indie music might get more enjoyment out of this album than me.
I found this Orbit Culture single to be pretty lacking in both its melodic aspects and metal aspects
The cookie-cutter vocals make me wanna join the two people on the single cover
Muse fans thinking the band having overproduced djent riffs in their song makes it unique and good lol
This album is all over the place in terms of quality, which if you take into account that the album is named “MUSIC,” kinda makes Playboi Carti an unintentional genius in how music in general has such a wide range of quality to it.
A trap album with a 30 song tracklist is challenging enough for ‘front to back’ album listening, but when some, a few, or most of the songs aren't consistently enjoyable, it makes it a slog to sit through the whole album.
Some songs on ... read more
This single really sounds like Greyhaven's different parts and components of the band work as effectively as I've heard them so far
Quadeca showcases the massive size and scale in sound that an artist’s work can be on “Vanisher, Horizon Scraper.”
Even compared to “I Didn't Mean To Haunt You” the sound of this album is substantial, which makes sense when taken into account of the album's concept of Quadeca being a man sailing into the ocean driven by his desire for freedom and knowledge eventually becoming an unhealthy obsession that leads to his death. The production of the album is ... read more
