The most fun and intriguing Danny Brown has sounded since his "Atrocity Exhibition" album
Dying Wish on “Flesh Stays Together” continue to prove that they still are one of the best metalcore bands today that can pull off dynamics clean vocals without it feeling unnatural or forced. Not to mention when this album is going for a heavy execution that's punishing, it absolutely doesn’t let up with its instrumentals and performances. Just like with the band's last album, this is absolutely a must-listen if you like metalcore, and it might even sway someone who ... read more
I blame a lot of boring, repetitive, generic, and annoying bands that barely qualify as rock or metal like Bad Omens, Dayseeker, and especially Sleep Token for the existence of PRESIDENT.
This new EP of theirs really does sound like a thirsty clout chaser trying to attach themselves to a trend that they just found out existed and had no prior knowledge of.
Just a lot of really bland and badly placed electronics parts that can be completely taken out. Production and mixing that leaves the ... read more
If I had to relate Street Sects’ “End Position” to an entertainment media, I would say it makes you feel like you're in a John Wick movie. Both as John Wick hunting people down and as a someone who is one second away from being shot in the face.
This album does a really good job of being both memorable and non-repetitive. Part of that I think comes down to the fact that it intertwines different parts of genres like noisecore, synth punk, electro-industrial, power ... read more
she Trench on my Clancy till I Breach.
While I don’t think this album is as consistently strong as I was hoping it would be, I think Twenty One Pilots end the Dema storyline with some good songs.
I think most of my personal favorite moments of this record are when the duo are taking these influences of 2000s emo rock or hard rock and infusing it into their sound. Like with the album’s first single teaser “The Contract,” that duo aren’t even trying to hide their ... read more
End It’s “Wrong Side of Heaven“ is about as a nonstop hardcore punk album as you can get with its well crafted guitar riffs, occasionally tight tempo changes, consistently striking vocal performances, and high amount of energy. Fans of the genre will likely love this album.
Leave it to two former members of the generic rap rock band “Fever 333” to release one of the most annoying yet forgettable alternative metal projects of 2025. “Outrun You All” sees House of Protection running towards the goal of trying to sound like every mainstream rock/metal adjacent band that would appear on SiriusXM radio today to the point where the duo hardly has an identity on this EP. Even with the occasional moments where I potentially notice a bit of ... read more
I may have had strong negative feelings toward PRESIDENT's previous singles but this single might be my least favorite song of theirs so far. The band mixes bland and basic elements of djent, rap, and pop with really bad tonal whiplash that makes it sound like the bands first attempt at blending genres together on an unreleased demo.
This single collab between Amy Lee, Poppy, and Courtney LaPlante sounds like what anyone would expect them coming together to sound like and doesn’t really add anything new that make it more distinguishable from each member’s music. It would’ve benefited more from the extreme and special moments from that have been heard before from each artist rather than having pretty standard performances and songwriting that appear on here. Wish I liked this more.
Chat Pile and Hayden Pedigo surprisingly mix together really well on this single
A sick as hell single from Dying Wish with a chorus that seamlessly mixes harsh and clean vocals that make it fascinating to hear
There are three types of people:
Those who want to be the man on this album cover.
Those who want to be Sabrina on this album cover.
Those who want to be both on this album cover.
"I'll Be Waving As You Drive Away" is a simple and straightforward instrumental album with consistently beautiful instrumentation that prevents it from being forgettable
"You'll Be Alright, Kid" is such a boring and bland album that I kept losing focus and falling asleep trying to listen to it.
Imagine Dragons, Lewis Capaldi, NF, Ed Sheeran, and Sleep Token existed so that Alex Warren could take elements from each of them and not even try to switch them up or make them into his own.
The combining of metalcore instrumentals with a clean vocal chorus is on point from Greyhaven on this single
The calming middle section of the song is like the eye of a hurricane. You think you're out of it, then you're hit hard again.
End It does a good job covering Maximum Penalty's "Could You Love Me?" I am interested to experience how this will fit on a hardcore punk album.
