Did Periphery help them right this track? Cause the vocals and djent breakdowns on here are very Periphery. Song itself is pretty fine, but I'll likely forgot about it even though I've listened to it a few times
Really good single from Job For A Cowboy, especially the part that had the breakdown accompanied with a tech death-like guitar solo. Really excited for the album this month
COME ON MEN, WE SHALL SLAY THY DRAGON AND WIN THY PRINCESSES HEART
yeah this was solid power metal, really good guitar work
Admittedly this album is pretty well performed and produced, but lot of the tracks on here sound derivative of other rock bands, and like some tracks were made in less than a week. I wasn't really invested and nothing was intriguing me on here. Nothing really stand out bad though, so I can see a few people liking this
"Abandon All Life is" another fast paced, energetic grindcore album from the legendary band Nails. In a certain way, I like this album more than "Unsilent Death," since it is longer and has more tracks that are drawn out in order to be able to take in easier. This album also features different vocals that are more of a high pitched scream compared to "Unsilent Death."
Great beatdown hardcore promo that I recommend checking out especially if you're into that genre. Breakdowns on here go hard and it's appropriately paced
This is likely one of the most interesting deathcore projects I've heard. It has a lot of elements of metalcore as well. Most of the songs sound different from each other which is rare for deathcore
Besides Falling In Reverse's cover of Last Resort, this might be the most stereotypical movie trailer cover song of all time
Didn't end up loving this cause I've heard more interesting and less repetitive death grind metal and didn't get much out of this. However, the performances on here are far from bad and if you like grindcore mixed with death metal and even some black metal influences as well, you'll like it.
Damn, Megan's flow on this is so smooth. I used to not care for her music before, but she's starting to really win me over with this and "Cobra." Other than the track being somewhat simple, I have no big complaints
Edit (49 -> 60): I was slightly too harsh on this one since I like the production on this track and it's instrumentally better than every track off of Poppy's Zig album. However, my points below I still firmly agree with as this track is too repetitive and I've heard much stronger edm metal tracks from Poppy like her Spit cover.
I kinda liked the first 15 seconds of this track but then it kinda just sat around for 4 and a half minutes and nothing much really changed except for a breakdown. ... read more
I feel like Alpha Wolf are in a spot where they're trying to try different things to see what sticks, but for me nothing they've tried to add so far has been good. The chanting in the chorus is bad and should've been cut out. The drums are very basic by Alpha Wolf standards. The lyrics aren't that new or interesting, especially since they do these type of song lyrics in previous tracks. I was hoping ICE-T's part was gonna be more interesting than it was. He just repeats what was being said in ... read more
Better than their last single in my opinion. I feel that this uses edm elements in a more creative way than a lot of other djent metalcore bands. However, I do have a couple criticisms. Just like with their previous track, I wish the djent on here was a little less repetitive. The chorus is a little on the weak side and is somewhat forgettable. Winston's feature doesn't make a huge impact to the track and could've been taken out
Good grindcore mixed with mathcore EP that features really good riffs, but goes by a little too fast to leave a massive impression on me in my opinion. Still recommend it if you like grindcore though.
This was recommended to me by @DREscapePlan please check their profile out if you want some similar album recommendations
"Bloodsucker, dream crusher, bleedin' me dry like a real life vampire"
This track is well performed, but I think I prefer Invent Animate's earlier tracks like off of "Stillworld" rather than their newest tracks. Their new songs are sadly starting to sound the same to me in terms of song structure, similar djent breakdowns with buildup, and clean vocal chorus melodies
