What an incredible way to end a career as magnificent as death. Near perfect
Incredible album. From start to finish, there’s not a bad song. Man, prog metal is beggining to become one of my favorite genres; just the shere creativity is amazing
The most important album of all time for me. Without this album, i don’t think i’d be nearly as big of a music fan as i am now. While nothing can be completely perfect, this is as close as it gets if you ask me. Jeff really is a top 3 vocalist of all time.
Man, what an amazing time. I slightly perfer symbolic, but this album was just amazing, and it feels like it took everything human did and made it even better
I know this is very often regarded as death’s worst album, but i personally think this was just as enjoyable as the first 2. Although the lyrics and vocals aren’t as good tbh
Very consistent album, and by consistent, i mean that pretty much every track is atleast a mid 8 out of ten. While the production isn’t very good for todays standard, i find that to be very common with these 80’s and 90’s death metal albums, and even then, the riffs and everything just completely make up for it
Very interesting and good album. Has some misses, but don’t speak alone is a reason to listen to this album
Forget what i saic, this album is fucking incredible. Amy’s voice on every single song is absolutely phenomenal, and the instrumentation is great as well.
Pretty overhated if you ask me. Sure there are some songs in the middle of the album that werent sliced bread, but gematria, sulfur, psychosocial, dead memories and snuff are all amazing
Really bad. It’s crazy how chris and his friends went from being a really good walmart version of radiohead to making actual souless trash like this
I went from the previous albums to this, so it was hard for me to adjust to the massive stepup in brutality, but i have listened to it a lot after then, and every time i listen to it, i like it more and more. It’s actually quite close to vdop for me.
Man, this album has a perfect mix of aggression and the more relaxing style of deftones. This album especially made me realize that chino is a top 5 vocalist of all time for me. He’s just so soothing to listen to, but can still scream like a complete demon
Aside from the awful interludes, this album is an underrated classic, and pretty deserving of the 58 spot on rolling stone’s best metal albums. Really good concept as well
Absolutely amazing blend of heavyness with the more poppy chorusess that make up what might as well be the best album of the last 20 years
Has the potential to rival songs for the deaf, but I perfer the rawness of that record
